China Star — Restaurant in Whitpain Township

Well, we again decided to get chinese and there was no question we were going to order from China star. We also had it delivered. You have 3 new customers when in town! Love all your choices! We took pictures, so yummy!

My Mom and I wanted to have soup for dinner, and she said Wonton soup would be good. I googled wonton soups near me. China Star popped up. I read the reviews, which were great! It is just up the road from the CVS, which is where I had to stop first. I pulled in front, and when I got in, I was greeted immediately. Cindy, the owner, came to take my order. She was very nice. I asked for 2 Wonton soups and then asked about the Chinese donuts. She pulled up a picture of them, and they looked very good, I just needed to know if they were soft enough as my Mom had just had one of her teeth pulled. She assured me they were fine. So I ordered them as well. Cindy said it would be just 5 minutes, and it was! Great Service. Cindy wanted me to sample some Crab Rangoon, and let me tell you, Wow! It was fabulous! I know this is the hot place in Blue bell but I was extremely disappointed. Specifically with the customer service. The owner is rude and pushy and quick to get you off the phone. I tried to order scezhuan chicken and get veggies instead of rice because I am a diabetic and cannot eat the rice. I go to get my order and they give me vegetable fried rice that I have to pay an extra 4$ for even though I cannot eat it. I asked if I could in addition order stir fried veggies and she was rude and yelled I cannot do that and it needs to be a whole other order. I will NEVER come back. The owner refused to right the mistake that SHE made and was ignorant. I work in the industry and have never been so appalled. I highly recommend going to the Golden sea in blue bell instead. They are far superior in quality and service. Not to mention the owner of china star begged us to order from her and this is the customer service and food she bragged about? So...

I can’t say enough good things about China Star in Blue Bell! After my favorite local spot closed, I’ve been searching for great Chinese food, and I’m so glad I decided to give China Star a try. I drove all the way from Conshy — and let me tell you, it’s absolutely worth it!

From the moment I walked in, the owner, Cindy, was warm, personable, and attentive. She made sure everything was packed perfectly and ready to go. My order — shrimp with mixed vegetables and fried rice lunch combo, plus wonton soup — was fresh, hot, and delicious. The portions were really generous, especially for the price, and everything tasted so flavorful and well-prepared. It’s honestly the best Chinese food I’ve had since moving to Montco.
