We came for dinner around 6PM for 2 and the restaurant was full except 1-2 tables. There was a large party in the back that seemed to combine 2-3 tables. We luckily were seated right away. The restaurant is quite small, there’s maybe 10 tables total. The atmosphere was very homey and felt like a family restaurant where customers and staff were very friendly and familiar with each other.

We got our menus and were served hot tea in a plastic pitcher. After putting our order in, we didn’t receive the banchan until just a few minutes before our appetizer arrived.

We ordered the Seafood Pancake for our appetizer and it’s probably one of the best pancakes I’ve had. It tasted very good and authentic without the oiliness/greasiness. It was medium-sized and could probably serve 2-4 people. There’s a good crunch to it and the inside of the pancake was not too undercooked. Would highly recommend getting the pancake if you decide to visit!

I ordered Galbi Tang, which is a beef rib soup that has meat and clear noodles. It comes with a small bowl of rice. The flavor of the dish reminded me of egg drop soup but with a strong dashi or seafood flavor. Galbi Tang is known for its delicate flavor but I couldn’t help but notice the salty profile in this dish. I don’t think I would try this dish again as I prefer a thicker and savory soup, such as Galbijjim.

In terms of service, I understood there was a large party for the staff to attend to; however, even after the party left, we felt quite neglected and out of place. We’re Asian but we were the only non-Korean customers in the restaurant and felt the staff did not want to attend to us. Our banchan were not refilled, we did not get water despite asking for it, and they did not check in during our dining experience to see if we needed anything. We did notice they were more attentive to the other Korean customers and wonder if maybe there’s a bit of a language barrier at play.

Overall, To Dam Gol is a cute, family-oriented restaurant that’s located in a small parking lot off the main road. The Seafood Pancake was amazing and a must-try. However, the rather poor service and the overly salty Galbi Tang left us desiring more. We’re unlikely to return...

First of all, the tall waitress here is so rude and asks for a tip even when ordering takeout. It makes me feel bad. I’m a regular here, but last week, an older brother I know caught a sea bass and made a spicy fish stew for us. We took the ingredients and paid for it, but he was really rude and didn’t care at all. He made a fuss when I gave him a soda and said, “When did I ask for it?” He didn’t even give me water or side dishes, and I paid the full price, but I don’t know why. He said he gave me a free meal, but it was all included in the price of the food. I’m really upset, so I’m posting this. Didn’t you read the owner’s post and don’t care? Why is the bathroom so dirty? Please clean it up a little. Is it because there are no other restaurants in Bluebell? If you make some money, please pay more attention. Please change the girls to be kind and gentle. The owner’s son is a nice guy, but today, he’s talking about the service, which really makes me feel bad.

Me siento mal. Jefe, ¿no lees y no te importa?

Terrible Service and Discrimination The waitress forced me to tip her, and this outrageous behavior happened twice! When I checked out, she shoved the bill at me and demanded I choose the recommended 18% tip, which was after tax! I told her I needed to calculate it myself. She then started badmouthing me and the tip in Korean to the customers at the next table, judging me to my face!

I stood my ground and told her I should never tip on the tax! There were plenty of Korean and American customers, and she targeted only me with this nonsense! Not a single other table got this treatment.

The last time this happened, I also refused to tip 18% after tax. After I tipped 15% before tax, she snatched the bill and calculated it in front of me, only letting us go when she was satisfied with the amount.

I will never go to this restaurant again. They are full of national origin discrimination and show zero respect to their customers! This place...

Authentic Korean food, the little side dishes were very tasty, ordered spicy beef vegetables soup and simmered fish, they were very delicious, just little too spicy for my taste but it was worth it. I also had fermented bean soup and was one of the best I ever tasted. BBQ beef, Kalbi is always yummy! Came back next day for Tok boki, it was awesome! Came back again for pork belly with kimchee stir fry, delicious! They were big portions. Freshly made white rice in stone pot was awesome! After eating the rice I added water to make rice tea! Very friendly and helpful staffs.
