I went to this location around four years ago for some dinner, the place was extremely loud and people were allowing their kids to run around screaming and causing chaos. People were drinking way too much and falling all over creating a scene, no control at all from the establishment and our server never even checked on us. I vowed to never come back here after that but decided enough time had passed to where maybe it changed, so I went just yesterday and when I walked in there were at LEAST six employees just standing awkwardly watching people eat and not doing anything, once the "host" finally noticed us they told us to sit anywhere... I had only been here once years ago. So my wife and I stand there for a minute trying to get the young ladies attention but she is talking to a coworker laughing and ignoring us, I speak louder to her TRYING to explain we would prefer to be sat rather than sit wherever but she wasn't interested in working. So we turn and go to find a seat when some other lady comes barreling out of some side door right by the entryway and I am almost certain she was yet another employee, who held the door and said "After you guys" and I looked at my wife and she explained we are just trying to walk towards the dining room so we can sit and the lady stared at us confused. The only other people eating yesterday at this time was a few very old couples who stared quite heavily and almost never broke eyeline with us, throughout the entire experience they continued to just sit and stare. We wait for quite a while meanwhile they have an absolute plethora of employees standing around when finally our server comes to hand us our sticky and old menus that looked like somebody tried eating it with a fork and knife for hours before giving up. We order our drinks, they came out decently quickly and the server was nothing special just your average bare minimum service server. We order our food and to our surprise it actually looked decent (the last time I was here it was truly awful) and it tasted fine, however my wife got the pulled pork nachos and it was I'M NOT JOKING 99.9% refried beans and incredibly soggy chips. She couldn't eat it and barely ate two chips, the server only checked on us ONCE and it was well after I already finished my meal and I asked for the check. My reason for posting this, is because I was sick all night after eating there and it is now well into the afternoon the next day and I am only getting sicker. I am 100% certain it was from the food I ate which was the TexMex platter. I gave it another shot, I understand the people of Wichita Falls love this place because they love places where they can be loud, disrespectful, and not watch their kids! It's not for me, I prefer clean, polite, and someplace with...
Read moreLast night was my first experience at Parkway, but I can guarantee it won’t be my last!!! From the friendly atmosphere the moment my boyfriend (not first experience) and I walked through the door, to the amazing service we received from each of the three ladies who assisted us (our waitress was the absolute sweetest and best ever), to the delicious food we were brought… I enjoyed every second of my first Parkway Grill experience!!! We started with the Tailgate Fries (shared as they are huge)and they were absolutely amazing, we then ordered getting the Fried Catfish with Fried okra and curly fries and the Bacon Cheese Burger with home cut fries… Huge mistake there Lol!!! The food what we could eat of it was off the charts delicious!!! It was the most tender and juicy catfish I have ever eaten hands down. I liked the curly fries and okra also, but after trying my boyfriend’s home cut fries I will definitely be choosing them our next visit!!! Our bill with tip was about $60 but every bit worth it, as we both had an amazing time, and received dinner last night and lunch today!!! If you haven’t tried it yet I highly recommend you run, I promise you won’t be disappointed!!! 10/10 recommend! Thank you Parkway Grill for an absolutely fantastic first time experience, we will...
Read moreGood atmosphere. Bad food. It’s a friendly place. Laid back. I like all of the tv’s. The food was bad though. Started with fried pickles that were awful. They were so over fried that there was no essence of pickle left. Had I been blindfolded I would have had no idea I was eating a pickle. My daughter peeled the breading off of one, and it was just a crystallized pickle. Not one drop of juice in it. Next, the side of queso. Queso is quite possibly the greatest food on the planet, so how do you mess it up? You get it from a jar. That’s how. I could be wrong, but I’m about 90% sure that is queso from a jar. The bean burger was ok. Not terrible. Not good. The chicken tenders were about a foot long. Seriously, how do you get them that long? They tasted fine, but they are weirdly large. The mashed potatoes were also bad. I’m a bit ashamed to admit it, but I don’t dislike butter flavored instant potatoes. Those would have been better than what they serve. They were definitely powdered instant potatoes, but they were bland and tasteless.
I guess if you want a place to grab a beer, hangout, and watch a game, this place would be fine, but do yourself a favor and grab dinner somewhere else. Even my 13 year old who thinks microwave chicken nuggets are delicious...
