Cheap beer, but only in bottles. Everything about this place screams DIVE. Now, don't get me wrong, there's nothing inherently wrong with a dive bar. A significant part of my misspent youth was seeking them out, and that's why I believe I know a good one when I see one... And conversely, a bad one when I see one. As a former bar manager, I'm always keen on watching the details. When your floor staff at dinner hour is one bartender and one waitress, you're understaffed. When one of those is in the weeds or incompetent, you're underserved. When you're understaffed and underserved during peak hours, then there's a management problem. When the 20 other things I saw that lead me to believe it's a chronic management problem, then it's a disconnect with the owner.
