I went to the reopening, and I know there are going to be kinks, and debated about posting this but I feel like I have to. I went to the other locations almost religiously and was excited they were opening again. The service was atrocious. Honestly it wasn't too bad when I got there and was waiting in line, but right as I stepped up to order a young man came in and said he was there to fix everything and then began bad mouthing and berating the other employees. It was appalling. The two men that were there were doing pretty well on their own considering and certainly didn't need this young man to come in and start talking crap on them loudly to the guests. I ordered one of my favorites, the ahi poke, which was taste wise just alright, but was crammed into a small clam shell box, when I could see they had the large portioned ones on the plating space. I looked over and even the khalua pork meal, which comes with macaroni salad and rice was also being crammed into the small boxes. When I opened my box some of my food toppled into the table, it was so crammed in there. I'm so disappointed and I hope they get this all figured out, because that experience would make me not want to go back ever. Update: The containers for everything but the poke were replaced with bigger, but the poke is still spilling out...
Read moreI went to noble house Hawaiian foods a few years back and did not like it at all. I am from the Polynesian islands and thought maybe I have high expectations and the food isn’t the authentic island style I am accustomed to. I ordered a mixed plate combo (I think that was it) and a musubi. I got in the car and took a bite of the musubi and then my plate lunch…both were disgusting. I don’t know if the cooks weren’t trained properly or it is what it is….never went back there until Oct2023… Oct2023…it has not changed a bit besides it being in a food truck now instead of an actual building like before. My wife and I ordered only 2 regular plates and a Hawaiian Sun drink and it cost us $51…not sure if the guy rung us up wrong but we were too hungry to question it. Got home took a look at my steak plate and my wife’s pork plate and it looked like a bunch of food but tasted horrible like the first time. The Mac salad didn’t even look good. I took two pieces of my steak and asked my kids if they wanted it and all of them said no. The steak was cooked and looked like some teriyaki sauce was just poured on t and then sprinkled sesame seed on it. Doesn’t even look appealing. My wife didn’t even take a bite it looked so bad. $51 in the trash. I’m officially done with this place. Do not waste your hard earned money...
Read more1st time here for lunch today. Highly disappointed and disgusted. Just go to Pokemix if you don’t want to read all this. I’m not expecting poké as good as back home (Irvine, CA), but at least comparable to Pokemix in West Wichita. I ordered the California Poke, which is a disgrace, and Lomilomi Salmon. I was brought out the first picture, which looked and smelled terrible. I picked through, looking for the ahi tuna amongst the slop of spicy mayo and imitation crab. I couldn’t find any. Took it to the counter to ask where the ahi tuna was. The owner (I’m assuming) explained that many people don’t like uncooked fish, so after you order, you have to ask for the salmon on the side. Which by this logic means for any poke ordered, you need to ask for the fish that is described on the menu on the side. What a rip off. He brought me out ahi tuna that was disgusting and yelled WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO? YOU WANT ME TO POUR IT ON TOP? WHAT? No. I want you to stop ripping people off who don’t know what to expect. The Lomilomi salmon tastes like extremely salty ceviche. I left the food on the table and left. Better to lose money than get food poisoning. Ruining poke for Wichita and ripping people off. You...
