I don't go to Freddy's too often anymore because they are more expensive and take forever. Wife and I wanted something we hadn't had in awhile and decided to get carryout from Freddy's. Placed order thru the app, arrive at the restaurant shortly before my order should had been ready. Started playing on my phone to pass time. 20 minutes goes by and still no food, lobby is pretty much empty, no cars in the drive thru, and staff has started cleaning and getting ready for closing.
Went up to the counter and asked about my order, one of the workers looks over at the machine that I assume prints online orders and grabs what I assume to be my order. Tells me, "Oh, sorry. It was an out-of-state # so we didn't make it. We'll make it now". Food was not fresh, pretty sure I got whatever they were about to throw out. By the way, I have a 785 area code, which covers nearly half of the state.
So I won't be back for at least another year. I guess if you plan to place a mobile order, better have a 316 area code. Because why would they make an order that was...
Read moreWas attending a conference in Wichita and a group of about 20 of us showed up at 10pm, seeing they closed at 11pm I called ahead to warn them we were coming. I figured even if they did close at 11pm they would probably be cleaning for 30min or so, it would give our group plenty of time to visit but, NOPE at 11pm straightup, the manger came over and told us he was closing and we had to leave. We attend conferences here in Wichita, quite often and NEVER have been treated like this. You can bet WE WILL NOT!!! be going back there again, Conference or not they have lost my business!!! There is plenty of other places open later on a Friday night. Obviously, we didn't expect to be served after 11pm, but they could of locked the doors and continued to clean up in the back kitchen while we visited a few more minutes. I know employees don't walk out the door as soon as a restaurant closes. Very Very disappointed. Not good customer...
Read moreFreddy's was our go to after school concerts when the kids were young, and we continued to go for random celebrations for nostalgia. Since the company sold it has slowly been deteriorating in all aspects. The last 3x we have visited in the last 6 months, both 21st and Tyler and Maple and Ridge, the stores have been full of flies, dirty bathrooms, dirty food areas, condiments empty, no lids over teas and with all the flies around I was afraid to get any of it. It's very sad because there used to be imo, pride in maintaining the stores, and it's not there anymore. No point in telling anyone bc in store they just say thank you, and we will take care of it. Thru the app, it's a generic message that accomplished nothing. I really hate seeing this and hope that they can go back to the original owners' standards bc we have so many great memories and...
