Our family of 10 made a reservation there last night (12/27/24) after we got done walking thru the botanical gardens. It took us a bit longer to get out of the gardens than we thought so we didn't end up making it there til about 9. We stood at the front, waiting for someone to seat us for about 5 minutes and that should have been our sign to leave, but we were all hungry and we all love Red Robin so we waited. When we finally got seated, it took about another 15 minutes or so for our waiter to come get our drink order. It was pretty easy; 7 waters, 2 adults got pops and one child's pop but it still took about another 10 minutes to get our drinks and for our waiter to take our orders. We all knew what we wanted, not only because we had plenty of time to look at the menus but because we all generally get the exact same thing every time we go to a Red Robin so that went pretty fast. Usually at other Red Robin's, within minutes of ordering out come the fries, but not at this location. After waiting another 15-20 minutes, my mom had to go ask someone for our fries and we were told it'd be about 5 more minutes because they were making fresh ones. Ok, no big deal, we're getting piping hot, fresh fries. Nope. Another 10 minutes go by and we finally get our fries and me and my dad's fries were cold and nasty and tasted like they'd been sitting under lights for awhile. My dad was so upset, he got up and went outside to cool off so he didn't get mad at anyone. I'm not even sure how much longer it was before we got our food, but surprisingly all the orders were right and it was good. Now, y'all may be thinking it took that long because they were busy, right? There were 13 people in that restaurant; us 10, a couple who got their drinks, fries, food and were paying by time we got our fries and they hadn't been there much longer than us and another was an employee drinking at the bar. Which, the lady bartending had taken out the trash and got the other employee a draft beer and didn't wash her hands in between so that was pretty gross to see. There was also something spilled all over the flood and instead of one of the many employees that were in there messing around cleaning it up, they just put a wet floor sign there and kept walking over it. I have never been to that Red Robin before; we always go to the other one (which we ALWAYS get amazing service there) but this one was closer to the gardens but after last night, I will never go back to that location. IF there was a manager there, we never saw one to complain about everything. Many times we were about to get up and leave, but again we were all hungry, it was getting late and we still had to drive back to Newton. I've been to several Red Robin's and I've never had this kind of poor service, even when we went to the other Wichita location a few years ago during state basketball tournaments and it was packed. Just beyond disappointing, especially...
Read moreFirst let me just say this this was my first time in a Red Robin there was about four host and plenty of tables open but at the same time it took forever to seat everybody but that being said they had the best burgers and Wichita I had the whiskey Burger that was delicious and very flavorful towards the end of my visit I ran into the manager very nice lady kind of made me laugh because I was waiting for somebody else to get out of the bathroom but she asked me if I was waiting for somebody of course I was but again that being said there's things that could be worked on but I'm not going to beat them in the head because the hamburgers alone are outstanding in our server was extremely productive and friendly I couldn't ask for a better experience I was just wish there we're more organized but again I'm not going to beat them in the head for that because it's about the food and the server and she was on point drink after drink and she had the whole all her tables full for herself and she was still on point I recommend this place I just wish her a little bit more efficient up front when it comes to seating people because there was plenty of tables open I just don't understand why you couldn't seat people what was the hold up I guess they are too busy busting tables I just didn't want to seat people right away never mind the fact that the managers were over there conversating with each other and not paying attention to what their workers are doing maybe people would have been seated more efficiently but anyway the burgers are outstanding the onion rings we're amazing and the strawberry lemonade is on point but I do recommend people getting food in house just too go unless you want to be quoted a 10 minute wait time and wait 30 minutes for the host too busy tables come on now but by all means if you want a outstanding Burger come here and enjoy I'm not going to downgrade the fact that the server was extremely friendly and she took care of us and the food was awesome even who cares about the rest maybe they will fix that I have seen restaurants before we're the managers we're actually helping the employees in order to seat people more efficiently besides them having their little powwow on the sides come on guys but in closing they get a five all day on the play because of the awesome server in the...
Read moreI really enjoy Red Robin, their burgers are usually pretty good. This review is based on all the food ordered on one single visit.
Food ordered: 2 brisket burgers with onion rings, a mushroom bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries, an avocado Cobb salad with a cup of chicken tortilla soup, a BLT croissant with a cup of chicken tortilla soup, and various beverages. Myself and my son-in-law ordered the brisket burgers both with onion rings. While his Burger was stacked high with brisket, when I bit into mine, there was no brisket. Opened the burger up and found about half a teaspoon of meat. Now I did ask the server to bring me more brisket, and the burger tasted much better. I will say it's very heavy on the barbecue sauce. I mean, really heavy. So if you need to watch your salt and sugar intake, I highly suggest a different burger. There were only five onion rings on both our plates, pretty chintzy. The consensus about the chicken tortilla soup, was that it was more like chili, and their bowl was so tiny. Maybe three or four bites total. Also, it was loaded with sour cream, so that probably made up half of what was in the tiny bowl. My son didn't even finish it because he said it was really bad. The bacon mushroom cheeseburger was apparently a hit, along with the sweet potato fries.
Now about the service. We went in just before 4:00 p.m., and got seated right away. Our server was very friendly, and had just about the right amount of attentiveness that you want. The food took a really long time, even though there were more empty tables than there were full ones. I'm talking half an hour at least before the first plate was sat down. I do think the server forgot about a few things, but we eventually got them. We will be going back to try out more burgers...
