Wouldn't even know where to start or end. Started with a GM who refused to cancel a reservation, although it was within the cancellation policy timeframe. Had to call corporate to get that taken care of. She said it was the oddest thing for her to try to do. Highly recommended calling corporate back if any issues. Will be giving them a call tomorrow for sure. Check In gal was kind as can be, and the numerous problems not her fault at all. Got into the king suite with supposed pull out bed. Immediately a spring popped through and sliced my hand open.... and no blanket or pillows for it. Went to front and asked for different room, but she would have to call the GM to get it ok'd. Got to room #2. Horrible stale stench. A/C sounds like a jet plane that's dying. But you can hear the real jets in the bathroom vent, which basically sounds like they are landing on the ceiling. Not to mention the "racetrack" we've listened to out the window for the last 3 hours. Decide to take a shower. No go there... no hot water. Call the desk to ask about that and told to give it 10-15 min and it will hopefully get hot. Nope, never did. She was kind enough to ask my mom later about it, but by that point, we were totally over this whole thing. Not a problem to not take a shower since it was covered in filth and mold. Go to turn on a lamp, nope, that doesn't work either.... flickers like a strobe light. Not to mention the cracked and broken lamp shades. Oh, and the gross sheets.... see photos. The pull out couch in room 2 is absolutely disgusting. Wouldn't dare to sleep on it. Such a run down hotel... very unfortunate. Would request a refund and go to another hotel but I guarantee the GM won't do that. But will be doing that tomorrow for sure. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and motels in my life and never had this kind of horrible experience. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Update: did not stay here the 2nd night and lodged a complaint with corporate. The owners responses are interesting. Unfortunately, people tend to leave more reviews when there is a negative experience. But even stranger is to stalk my various profiles and reviews. Weird! Another reason to avoid this very strange and unusual hotel. Please review all recent negative reviews since this GM took over. His own employees spoke extremely poorly of him. Additional update: This GM is now reaching out to me in a very unprofessional manner via email and calling my number. Having to press a harrassment complaint via the Corporate Customer Service. Please beware of this hotel and...
Read moreOur recent stay at Comfort Suites (7515 Taft Street, Wichita, KS 67209, United States of America) was nothing short of disappointing. Upon arrival, there was no one at the front desk to assist with check-in. Instead, we were greeted with a sign indicating that the staff had "stepped away," leaving a phone number for assistance. After calling, we were directed to a staff member named Harry, who seemed indifferent to our inconvenience. He had us sift through paperwork left at the desk, exposing personal information of other guests, to find our room number. We couldn't find our information. There was a maintenance guy who helped us. He called an off-duty employee to guide him to prepare our room key. After a long journey from Colorado Springs, we were eager to settle in, enjoy the food we brought, and watch the Mavericks game. However, our plans were thwarted by a 20-minute wait for Harry to arrive. We saw him pull from the main road. Even then, his demeanor lacked any sense of apology or concern for the delay. To add to our frustration, the rooms were dimly lit and visibly unclean. The state of the bathroom was particularly concerning, further diminishing our already low expectations. Overall, our experience at Comfort Suites was a series of disappointments, one after another. From the lack of staff presence and professionalism to the inadequate cleanliness of the room and building, it fell far below the standard of what one would expect from a reputable hotel. Needless to say, I would not recommend...
