Update: This place gets more ridiculous by everyday that passes today on Christmas this morning we went to get a luggage cart to move gifts downstairs not a one is available because people have decide to keep them in their room I think when we get back that surely there will be at least one luggage cart nope not a one I went to every floor and not a one every single one is in a guests room to make things even better this morning there was what appear to be an empty open Pepsi cab in the elevator and a Canadian dry can next to the back door it was disgusting and show they still don't keep up with cleaning duties
Adding to the concern for guest safety, I experienced another alarming incident on December 9 at approximately 6:33 PM. I went out the back door of the hotel and immediately encountered two medium-sized fluffy dogs on the walkway. Both dogs were barking, and as I attempted to move forward on the walkway, the lighter-colored dog began trying to nip at my ankles. Feeling unsafe, I had to step off the walkway since I didn’t know the dog’s intentions. Concerned, I had my husband drive me to the front to report the incident to the front desk. However, instead of addressing the safety concern, I was asked, “Was it on a leash?” When I confirmed that the dog was on a leash, the response was essentially that nothing could be done because the dog was leashed — as if being nipped at is acceptable. This response was incredibly disappointing, as the issue wasn’t about the leash but about guest safety. It could have easily been a child in that situation, and the outcome could have been much worse.
One thing this hotel does have going for it is the quality of the rooms. The rooms are nice and clean, which is a major plus. Occasionally, I’ll see a bug here or there, but that feels somewhat normal for a building like this. If the same level of care applied to the common areas and guest safety, this could be a much better experience overall.
While the improved management is a positive change, the lack of cleanliness, disregard for guest safety from housekeeping, and lack of concern for guest well-being by the front desk are unacceptable. I hope these issues are addressed soon for the well-being of current and future guests. During my stay at the hotel, I had another unpleasant encounter while taking my dog outside. As I exited, a woman came out at the same time with the same two dogs I had issues with previously. This time, the situation escalated. Her dogs were aggressively barking, lunging, and attempting to jump at my dog. Their relentless behavior heightened my dog's anxiety, making the situation even more distressing. Despite their aggression, the owner made no effort to control or calm her dogs, leaving me feeling unsafe and frustrated with the lack of consideration for other guests...
Read moreWell since my first review got deleted here is my second. I booked this room online with my card. This was nov 22nd around 9-10pm ish. The guy who checked me in was kind and friendly. Got me booked in. I did tell him I had a cat and he said there is a $25 dollar fee. I said well shoot I don’t have an extra $25 and I already booked online. He said you know what it’s late, you’re here (have my 2yo and 10mo with me) you’re only here for 1 night don’t worry about the pet fee. He asked that I would leave him a good review. I was happy to do that until our stay continued…. As I stated I have two small children that were very tired. Maybe an hour or two of being there there were roaches left and right. I also have pics for proof. Killed 6 in that time period. I went down to talk with someone, office had been closed at that point…. I then come to check out!!! (Thank goodness I only booked one night at this point which was really only a couple hours since we got there so late!) mornings of check out the front desk lady was very sweet and helpful. She stated that she would talk with her manager and get back with me. She did and she stated that I would get my full refund for my stay! Well I followed up with the gm Tonya today. She was EXTREMELY rude!!! She wanted to argue with me about the matter. She didn’t refund the whole stay like I was promised! She in fact argued with me about the conversation I had with the other two employees. I am so frustrated I argued with her about the roaches being in our room. She asked me why we didn’t leave and I stated to her I had just gotten my children asleep before I started seeing roaches. All said and don’t they kept $25 of my money. Argued with me and will NEVER EVER Recommend THIS LOCATION TO ANYONE. However I even told the gm tonya I am staying at a different extended stay and I am not having these issues…. And she said “ oh haha, I work there too. You probably didn’t tell them about you’re cat either” I said to her actually no I don’t have my cat it’s with my mother at the moment.let me also add there is only one in and out door by the front desk. I even said you can check the cameras I didn’t sneak my cat in or try to hide my cat… And she said “oh well we will see” and then rushed me off the phone and hung up!!!!!!!! At almost $300.00 a week and they charge to exchange towels. $5.00 for a load of laundry, $3.50 for a soda and they dont go out of their way to do anything to help you. There are one or two staff that are great but most of the time not much help at all. Fridge dont stay cold, and toilet barely flushes. But those dont get fixed but sure will charge you for towels that should be free. So continuation of stay progressively got worse in 15th day ws told the smoking room i reserved was a non smoking room and was told to get out within hour. After 45 min. Of trying to get them to shut up so i can show my reservations made and signed the paperwork. That finally cured the issue, then managed came back that afternoon told me agian that i got to be out but in 20 min. Bexause i was a day behind.So after showing her my reciepts and my paper trail which she sais nothing about late payments or financial punishment. Finally after learning that paying 7 days plus a single plus another single and then paid for additional 7 days equalled 16 not 15 finally she let issue go. However it cost me a whole days work which you know they will not do so for anyone in construction. So the final issue was i go down to pay around 10:15 a.m. to pay the reserved rate of a flat 36.63 per night if booked in advance for 30 days. So I say im going to pay for one single day to arrange to be moved to a hotel with better everything. Then she the same manager who prior allowed me to pay day 7 and also day 8 as single payments. However she said she never done that and it should never been allowed ao we argued about nothing except that ahe said she was going to cancel the reservations and charge me regular rate to keep my room. She then stated that if i dont pay by 11 a.m. i would be penalized 30 dollars for late fees. So after contacting me complaints people they said atleast 48 hrs to respond.i have not heard back as of yet. So my ratings for this experience and the horrible living area for the price was completely ridiculous and whoever that sour bitter witch of a woman manager should be released and fired for her malicious attack on me my character...
