So, I gave 2 stars because I love the lavender milk tea and the servers have always been kind the few times I've come in. However, after asking a question online I've changed my mind about returning. I asked a question if they allowed customers to being their own cup, and if not did they consider think about it. To which they replied no they wont change the policy either, and I understand that's not the issue in this situation. I asked why that policy was like that, and if they considered a non plastic option. So some back story, I am trying to live a low waste lifestyle. That's my personal choice, nobody has to agree, but I see the environment issues and such. Single use plastic (recyclable or not) is a big, big issue. I like to shop locally if I can, and I love to invest and put money into a shop with good products AND good environmental ethics and customer service. That's a personal choice of mine as I said. I understand people will agree or not agree, however I don't appreciate the response to my question. They said "cost and presentation" again, that's not the issue. The issue followed when they said, after I had already explained my take and why they replied with "if a plastic cup is stopping you from frequenting an establishment, then we arent sure what to say." I found that comment, to a customer that had a question and wasnt rude in the slitest (in my opinion), to be demeaning. I won't be returning not because of the plastic cups, because I never said I wouldn't return they do serve other items, but because of the way someone in their business handled a customers question unprofessionally.
They do offer paper options, usual paper is lined with a thin plastic, but maybe it's better I'm not sure. Google, I belive only allows two replies but here is the last of my question and answers in the pictures of the exchange and it should be listed in the questions and answers portion of the google search.
Again, agree with my lifestyle or opinions or not, it boils down to bad customer service and ethics as to why I will no longer be returning.
EDIT: I'm not wanting people to agree with me, my lifestyle is my own as are my opinions. To the owners I was explaining what I was trying to say, I'm not shaming anyone. I have zero problem with others choice to use plastic. Nor did I emply that I wasnt coming back ONCE. I WAS TRYING TO GET INFORMATION ABOUT A BUSINESS. It's sad that because I was asking the "why" question and trying to gather more information I was "picking on" your business. I was polite the entire time. I apologize that I came off wrong about the cups, I wasnt trying to but I do have the right to ask multiple questions before spending money...
Read moreDisappointed with my last experience there this passed Saturday. I walked in with my niece and the cups they had to show sizes there was only small shown so I assumed I would get a small. I was charged a dollar extra on both drinks for a “regular”….WELL the regular size they served me was in a hot coffee cup. I saw them make my drink and saw that the full drink could not even fit into the coffee cup which made me feel I should have gotten a small if I wasn’t going to be given my full amount of drink. I then asked why they gave me coffee cup and they say to promote their hot drinks. Once I got my drink I saw they put the regular plastic cup out as an option. I walked out and my milk tea was warm. Usually when I get my plastic cup before I poke it I shake it well so my drink can be cold. Since I was given a coffee cup I wasn’t able to do so. I went back inside to ask for a plastic cup and sealed so that I can shake my drink. The two young ladies seemed bothered and hesitant, one of them finally said just put it in a cup then. Well they put my drink in the regular size cup that I paid for and yup it didn’t even fill it all the way up and I knew it would since I saw how much didn’t go into the coffee cup. Feels deceitful to get less than I paid for and to get an attitude for wanting...
Read moreQuestionable comment--- I was in today and I normally come in once or twice a week. I had left my punch card in the car, and I had noticed last week that I had 2 cards so I brought them both in to see if they could be combined (1 card had 1 punch and the other had 7 or 8 punches)... I was told they couldn't combine the cards so I was okay with that - but the other lady had said to the male working there (as I was standing at the counter), "you snooze, you loose, right?" and she started laughing. I looked at his face and he looked as if he really didn't want to respond to her comment while I was standing there and probably that she should not have said that comment at that time. Well, I didn't appreciate her smart remark of a comment at that point and time either - whether she was talking about me or not. It was not professional nor appropriate while I was standing there. Then to top it off, she tried handing me a straw and it conveniently "fell" on the counter and instead of her picking it up and handing it to me, she said, "oh, sorry" and walked away. I won't be going back and spending my money if it is not appreciated! I don't take kindly to businesses employee...
