Experiences at both locations in Wichita have have been somewhat poor. The one on Rock Road seemed to be unorganized. It has been a few months since I was there, so, I hope they have gotten better. The west side one, on Maize Road, was the one I went to today. The man slicing the meat must have really had a bad day because it showed on his face. Every other minute he appeared frustrated or mad As we got farther down the line, it didnt get any better. No friendliness and it seemed to be packed with employees back behind the counter. Most of those employees acted like middle school kids and lots of immaturity. It was almost like some were never trained. I just would like to see some structure and kind employees. Since Jersey Mikes can apparently hire or have so many staff members, it would at least be nice to see some work going on and not a lot of nonsense. Because today was a whole bunch of immature kids standing around and even seemed like some employees were picking on another worker. With some better discipline and management , I think it could make for a much better experience. Good luck to both...
Read moreShould of walked out instead of spending my money here. I ordered an original Italian. The employee making my sandwich went to grab some lettuce,(which was pink and looked old) took a handful out and a fly that was in the lettuce tray came out also. It landed on the cutting board and was half dead and very easy to see. He continued to make my sandwich! I had to repeat myself 3 times, each time louder that there was a fly in the lettuce. He just looked at me and ignored. Another worker had to tell him to make another sandwich. I had to remind him the whole Tray of lettuce was trash. Also had to remind a different worker that the fly was smashed on the cutting board (where they make sandwiches) under the tray. Also recieved a look before they removed it. This is common sense. This store needs shields over the food and commen sense in general. I shouldn't have to teach food safety as a customer. I shouldn't have spent a dime here. My appetite was ruined. These sandwiches are not that cheap, I am sure this store could afford...
Read more12/15 update: The store manager promptly addressed my concerns, and provided meal replacement cards for a later time. I have since been back, however have not ordered online so I can not attest to wait times there. Since returning staff has been respectful and quick with service in person.
Second occasion of ordering online with my food not started upon arrival. Had to wait 30 minutes for one sandwich to be completed. The workers were behind the desk eating pizza. There was no line and no other orders placed (no tickets on the line). Not sure why this is a repeated pattern at this location, especially with it not being busy. Additionally, when mistakes are made in customer service it is important to acknowledge, apologize, and try to make it better. All I received was "here's that order, sorry about that". I understand working in the food environment is tough, however there is no excuse for neglecting orders when your establishment only had two guests (besides me) in the dining room having already received...
