I was going to eat lunch at Firehouse Subs next door but I noticed this restaurant. I decided to give it a try. I'm very happy I did. I ordered the lentil soup, Fattoush salad, and falafel side. I later tried the hummus with pita bread. I'm not too big on lentil soup but I was pleasantly surprised. I liked it a lot. The Fattoush salad tasted really really good. There was just a good hint of dill pickles but not over powering the salad. Is was a nice sized salad. It was filling enough. The falafel side item tasted very good. It sat on a tiny salad if it's own with a wonderful tahini sauce. I really loved it. After all of that I decided to try the hummus and Pitas. The hummus has a little bit too much salt for me. I have high blood pressure. But the rest of the flavors of the hummus were very good. The Pitas were fresh, soft and not tough to eat. Very flavorful but not over done on the ingredients. Layna greeted me when I was ordering. She helped me select my meal items. The lentil soup is her mother's recipe. The Fattoush salad is her father's recipe. The falafel is her grandmother's recipe. The hummus is also a family recipe. Layna wanted my feedback. She is very outgoing and a delight to talk to. The restaurant has a great feel to it. It is very clean and neat. I would absolutely come here again to eat. I highly recommend this restaurant for...
Read moreThis place is absolutely phenomenal. I went for the first time last week and have already returned and am excited for the next time I get to go.
Between my husband and I, we've tried the tilapia, salmon, lamb gyro, and 4 cheese gnocchi, 3 types of baklava, fattoush salad, and the falafel. I can't decide what my favorite is so far, it's all so good. It is by far the best place I've eaten at in years just by the taste alone. Everything is so flavorful and all of the spices used marry together to create foods that I'd go as far as describing as intoxicating. The portions are big enough that I'm full long before I've finished my food, and the prices are lower than most chain restaurants that have worse food and worse atmospheres. Both times we've been, it's been later at night and at slower business times, but I was still pleasantly surprised at how quickly the food came out.
The dining area is kept clean, the booths are very comfortable, the tables are pretty, and the soft music makes the atmosphere more relaxing than a lot of similarly sized restaurants.
The only thing that I have any issue with is that their payment system doesn't have a way to include tips. If you want to leave a tip in the jar, bring a little cash!
I cannot wait to try everything on the menu! I've already told family members they have to try this place, and will drag them along...
Read moreOk first off I hardly ever write reviews but I had my mouth all ready for a Chicken Shawarma and am very disappointed at the moment! I tried this restaurant because it is fairly new out West and I always order from Meddy's or Le Monde Cafe and wanted to try out something new. (my mistake) I should also say I ordered on the Door Dash app. I chose the Chicken Shawarma and noticed they do not give you a required side to choose from. They only have options you have to pay for. So, I just assumed the sandwich came by itself. Well...when I opened the Styrofoam container (that had burn holes in it btw) I was shocked at how small the sandwich was. I mean tiny. Sprinkled around the "sandwich" was about 11 old dried french fries. When I bit into the sandwich I noticed they put fries in it?! WTH...Who does that??? It was so dry and so bland I threw it in the trash. If you have ever eaten at Meddy's then you know what a Chicken Shawarma is supposed to look and taste like! Beware when you order online from this place! That is my rant...
