Michaels — Local services in Wichita

I have been making jewelry recently for the past few months and I come into Michael’s often to buy beads and whatever else I need to make jewelry. I have a rewards membership and I always use the self checkout option. There have been multiple instances where a worker has made me uncomfortable by insisting they have to take my items to de magnetize them. Which is weird because like I said i’ve been coming to michael’s and have never needed this done before. When you purchase the item that de magnetizes it so this worker is making me feel like she thinks i’m stealing or something. This worker has done this to me at least 3 times and today was my breaking point. She wouldn’t let me checkout by myself, she bagged all my items and I couldn’t get her to leave me alone. She made me so flustered and uncomfortable that I forgot to scan my $20 off reward because I just wanted to get out of the store. If I wanted help checking out I would have gone to the register. I know how the store works and I don’t know why this worker has to be so invasive. Once again when you pay your purchases are de magnetized automatically, i know this from coming here before and being able to not have anyone physically take my purchase away from me. I went to Michael's a few days ago and while wondering around the store I saw these cute picture frames that happened to be on sale.(Well, I thought by the sign being literally on top of the label to the item I was looking at that it included that item.) So I grabbed two since it was a bogo sale. After I got to my car I see that I was charged full price. So I go back inside and was told by a cashier that they weren't on the sale but they would honor that price because of the placement of their sale tag. Then she called the manager over for assistance in the return because she was unsure how to do it properly. The manager then told me he would not honor it and just walked away with no sorry or anything. Then to top it off the register was short on change so I told them to keep the 3 cents and left. So in the end it cost me $.03 to go in and let them know that their sign was in the wrong spot. Wasn't very happy at all to...

I always love Michael's and well I love their competitor what I like about them more is because you can buy individual things that otherwise are meant to be purchased in packs like their pens and paint brushes for example.. I own almost every tombow and jelly roll pen known to man and several Faber & Casteel pens (if i spelled that right🤷🏽‍♂️) and I usually start with buying the sets but you know sometimes you just love ONE out of a set more than the others. So I think it's nice that you can go in and replace just the one pin instead of having to spend a fortune on an entire set that you don't need.
