Lalos Express — Restaurant in Wichita

I ordered their Carne Asada fries which is fries topped with Carne asada, cheese, guacamole, and anything else you want on it. I got home and opened the box to find they had lined the Styrofoam container with paper. The food stuck to the paper. I tried to pick it all out but it was a lost cause. Lalo's was closed, so I took pictures of the mess so I could go the next day and get a refund or replacement meal. It was 6pm or so. There were no customers inside or at the drive thru. They were aware of my presence but didnt even acknowledge me for several minutes. Finally a girl walked up to wait on me. After explaining and showing the pictures, I was told no on a refund because I didn't bring the food back. I explained they were already closed, and didn't see why it was necessary with pictures clearly showing the mess. I was told only the day manager could talk to me about a possible refund and I would have to come between 9 and 2pm. I live and work clear across town so that was not an option for me until after 5pm. i asked her to write down their number and the managers name, but she just stood there like i said nothing. There should always be someone on staff that can make a very simple decision to replace bad food when there is an obvious reason to. I'm probably...

The first time I ever had this place it was great and I became a regular customer. I always get the same thing. Tonight by mistake the woman working must have entered the wrong thing into their system and gave me something completely different than what I ordered. No biggie. I had my friend go inside and tell her. The woman working said I ordered what she mistakenly entered rudely and refused to give him what I ordered. What the lady entered costed more than what I wanted too. Was never remimberced. I went through the drive thru and told her. I was nice and understanding about it, since I use to work in fast food myself. When I got to the window the woman started arguing with me saying I was wrong and I told her I wanted what I ordered or my money back. She kept arguing and eventually she gave me my food back after arguing with me. In all honesty I wanted a refund more. I got sick later that night and my friend didn’t. Pretty sure my food was tampered with. Which is saddening. I’m not a rude person. But she was really unprofessional and disrespectful to me. I or my family will never be returning to this place. Not going to be bullied while just trying to get food....

Of all the taco places on S Seneca.. this is in a tie for first place. The food is just GOOD. Service is fast. Sometimes [last time] the guy at the counter could use an upgrade to his english [ i asked for my tacos on flour tortillas [trigo, no maiz] and he didnt tell me they didnt have any flour tortillas [for tacos]. He just served them on corn tortillas. If id known when ordering id of just ordered a burrito. I just dumped my tacos out and ate them like salad. Tossing corn tortillas. My gut cant handle ground corn. Cramps etc. But my nose and mouth loves it. Anyway i wasnt pleased with my substituted order and so my dinner companion reminds me the guy at the counter isnt the supply chain and is doing the best he can. And then i reminds how Lalos does my mouth and tummy reliably good. Yup. Better than good. We had a nice lunch and enjoyed the atmosphere. When a LOUD commercial came on the TV.. they immediately turned it down for us when politely requested. Lalos makes good food in a good place. Not perfect. But really...
