Probably the worst service I've ever had with McDonald's. We went through the drive through and right off it started badly. The order taker couldn't understand what a quarter pounder with bacon and cheese hold the mustard meant. I realize that's not how it is worded on the menu, but it's not that hard to figure out. After a couple more times trying to explain he finally understood the order. I also ordered a filet-o-fish and a large fry. Got to the window and paid and everything seemed to be great. We got the order and I handed the bag to my girlfriend so I could park and we could eat. Upon opening the bag the ¼ lb and filet o fish were correct however the large fry was barely half full. I took the bag back inside to get it corrected and the shift manager looked at the fry container that I explained was exactly like that when we opened the bag. She took the bag from me looked inside the bag and threw it in the trash after yelling at the prep people in the back in Spanish. I thought it was curious that the manager didn't look at the receipt that I had sitting with the bag, but I figured she knew what she was doing. I caught a counter person's attention to have her make sure the order was getting remade correctly. The counter person handed the receipt to the manager and more yelling in Spanish was the response of the manager. Thinking I had finally gotten everything correct I received a bag with 2 large fries and 2 filet o fish sandwiches, but was asked to hold on for a minute by the manager. About 3-4 minutes later a second bag was handed to me with the ¼ lb and yet another large fry and I was apologized to by the counter person as the manager had moved away from the front. So all in all yes it would seem we made out like bandits, but what should have been a few minute trip through the drive thru ended up being at least 20 minutes. To top it all off and you probably guessed the fries in the first bag I got when I went back inside weren't hot anymore, but I had already had all I could take and just shared my girlfriend's hot fries. Just a side note, this particular store has messed up orders for me before, but I think this experience took the cake. I'll drive the extra mile to go to a different store...
Read moreOn 04/01/24 at 18:43, I entered the drive thru at the McDonald's located at 4810 south Broadway in wichita ks. I was greeted rudely and while ordering was rushed when looking at the menu. At this time, we were not advised about any products that were not available. The cashier was rude and was also on their phone while taking my card. The girl at the 2nd window was worse. She showed the food and drinks in our hands as fast as she could. Then forgot the straws and fries from the chicken nugget meal. When checking the bag, we realized we didn't get the fries and asked about them and were met with attitude and a huff. She didn't ask for the bag, but stuck her arm out like we were supposed to know what she wanted. Then we saw no no sweet and sour sauce (which was ordered with the nuggets). She gave more attitude and kept saying she was out of all the sauces even though we could see behind her that they had sauces. She then said have a good night and turned away from us. We then notice there's no straws so we go inside to ask for them and the sauce we did not get since we saw boxes of sauces. My boyfriend went inside and was met with disrespect when everyone got upset about having to get sauce or straws. They still continued to say they didn't have any sauce in the building. So we let it go. But that was the worst experience I've had at any McDonald's and that's saying something. I wish I knew their names but the only name on the receipt is "SIDE1"... horrible...

My last visit I was finally able to dine-in. The restaurant had the lobby closed for a while for remodeling though it was already a pretty nice McDonalds. When my daughter and i walked in, we were excited to see that they kiosks to order from. We played around with it and after a little discovery, we learned how it works. This kiosk is amazing! They have wireless number placards so that the staff knows where to bring your food. It eliminates all of the customers standing around the front clogging up the works. A+ for science.
The staff was on top of their game. Food was fresh, lobby was spotless and there wasn't even a District Manager in the building that I could see. In the past I have had issues with the front of the house staff not being what I would consider competent. I used to leave after my meal, shaking my head and found myself questioning why fast food employees would deserve 15/hr.
Not sure what happened. Don't really care to be honest. I McDonalds has started a couple new initiatives to refresh their image. Well, it is working at this McDonalds. I have grease dripping cheeseburgers, hot fries, pleasant attitudes and knowledgeable staff to look forward to here. 5th star comes if they keep the service level and food quality where it is for 6 more months....
