I was excited to try this place , the reviews were good and I had high hopes. I arrived to the place was not too busy barley 3 ppl inside and a few in drive thru . We waited in line (we were the second ppl in line ) only to find out that the ppl behind us in line went to order on a self service kiosk (we were confused Because there was no sign nor did the lady upfront mention it. We ended up ordered on the kiosk excited because everything looked yummy and then we took our seats. 10 min pass by then more ppl arrive ,they also were new so I took it upon myself to tell them about the kiosk since they were waiting to order. They took awhile to order and take their seats. Time kept passing by as we patiently waited for our meals 15 or more minutes pass by and the people in front of us got their meals and then people after us got their appetizers. How they got their appetizers first was starting to make me question why our appetizer hadn't come out since they had not ordered until 25 min after us ? I decided to wait and not be upset bc I thought well I'm sure our food is next ! But man was I wrong . One hour past since we placed our order and one after another ppl got their meals. I finally stood up and asked hey what's going on with our order I seen multiple ppl who ordered way after us leave with their meals ?! They went to check on why this happened and asked us if we even put the order in ? I said yeah my bank shows you took the money already ? They finally saw it and said oh our iPad didn't show it? Now I'm upset trying to be calm I'm trying to think what should we do now we wasted over an hour from this mistake, first I asked can you put our meal ahead of others ( since this was not our fault )they said it will still be another 20min , honestly at that point we wasted so much time we just asked for a refund. All I could think was what a waste of time. They have a lot...
Read moreI find the Crab Rangoon good sized and not too "crabby" which I like. The Sweet and Sour sauce was is average. Not bad but I would take Emperor's "Spicy' Sweet and Sour any day.
I like the Garlic Fried Rice with Chicken, the chicken is extremely tasty and plenty of surprisingly large chunks. Extremely solid tasty meal worth the money.
I tried the Tiger Nachos on a recent trip. They disappoint me in that I can't bring myself to order anything else now. My wife gets cravings for them to the point we drive in from Mulvane just to get Nachos. Wong Tong Wrapper chips, YumYum Sauce and Chicken so good. Cilantro, Cheese, Pickled Jalapeno & Onion, and something called Tiger Sauce.
Tonight we got it to go to take home to 30 min away so we got the sauce on the side to prevent soggy chips by time we ate. While that worked fine when i got home I found the Tiger and Yum Yum separate This allowed me to try the tiger sauce by itself and I liked it more than the YumYum.
Tried the Crak sauce tonight and while I did enjoy the flavor... the heat was NO JOKE. I was extremely glad I tasted a very small amount before I added any to my meal. Very hot.
There are other things on the Menu but trying something new would mean missing out on the stuff I know I love... Maybe someday.
Definitely...
Read moreOriginally my husband and I came into town with the hope of eating at G.W. Upon arrival, we discovered that the restaurant was closed for the whole month. Disappointed, I googled restaurants near me. Tiger Rice, being right across the street seemed like a quick and easy alternative. We walk in and immediately are welcomed by the friendliest man. We look over the menu, order, and a little sticker shock at the price for just the two of us($50), we get our drinks and find a seat. We admired the art work, and as I venture down the hall I am over joyed to see the one and only Totoro! Our crab Rangoon arrived quickly, the sauce was fresh and amazing with the appetizers. Our food arrives shortly after and when I say the container were full, I mean they were FULL. Totally worth the price. Piping hot, saucy, fragrant, lots of meat and veggies, we both enjoyed the steam facial. We took our first bites, look at each other and say, "uh oh...did we just replace our Chinese restaurant with a Japanese restaurant?" Smiling we both agree...yes we have. This happy accident left us both busting out our pants and in a food coma. I can't wait to enjoy the rest of my food tomorrow at work, where I will relive the whole experience and tell everyone about it. Great job everyone at Tiger Rice!...
