Spangles — Restaurant in Wichita

My last visit was yesterday, 5-10-2021. They had the lobby closed, said it was due to being short staffed, when i commented they had the same amount of front employees as my last visit, a bald headed guy came over told me it was not of my business, very rudely and shut the order window. I pulled to the very front door, my order was too have no salt on the fries and they were to be extra extra well done....they were extra extra salted and limp greasy and cold. Burger was to have fresh onion, not grilled, no honey mayo add mustard and extra crispy bacon.....the bacon was limp and chewy, loaded with honey mayo, no mustard and grilled onions. I wound up tossing the whole thing at Hardees on the turnpike and getting lunch there.

When i go inside the orders are always correct. The address is 421sw 29th. Everyone was friendly except the balded headed guy.

For some reason every time I enter a Spangles the first thing I want to do is clean. As you look around the baseboards the bathrooms the counters all the edges it just seems to need a detailed cleaning to me. Maybe it's the color scheme or the cluttered artifacts that decorate the walls.

When you walk up to the counter there is a lot of advertising for different foods. With so much on the walls I wish they would just redo the menu board. I have to assume the store was short staffed, as the manager was running the register at lunch. We ordered our food to go scared that the wait time would not give us time to return to work on time. Has the worker called out our 5 names, 4 were mispronounced, these are very common easy to spell and...

Super clean, great morale and yes, they offer 99 cent tequila and vodka shots!

My first time experiencing something like this place. Baltimorean in Wichita and enjoyed every moment at this establishment. Lori the GM and Shae both had a great personality and super exciting with the details on history, products that are favorites. They also shared what they like to eat and what they recommend for a first time visit. The smoke turkey pita, hot cinnamon donuts and my strawberry margarita $2.99 grande or $1.99 regular size, all hit the spot.
