We drove up from the Phoenix area for an appointment. This place was recommended. So disappointed, I asked for my veggie sandwich to be on sourdough and it tasted like normal bread, no mayo but yellow mustard and quite a bit (it wasn't a hot dog) and the raw red onion was sliced really thick. It was basic. Mostly onion, along with some tomatoes, and greens. They had no orange juice. I ordered a cup of hot tea. Only once before in my life have I tasted stale tea, I think dried tea leaves last a long time. Previously it turned out the tea bag was years expired and I suspect this cup of tea must have been, it tastesd awful. I only took two sips. The second to confirm how bad it was. I should have sent it back but we were in a hurry and I had just written the place off. The worst thing is I had a very upset stomach the rest of the day. Lots of time in the bathroom. It's hard to imagine it was two sips of tea (I didn't like the sandwich but it didn't taste stale) and I'll never know,...
Read moreWe stopped in for lunch at nana’s. My husband ordered a bowl of chili, which came with a roll. I ordered the hotshot 19, which is a grilled chicken sandwich on ciabatta. There were only a couple patrons in the restaurant, but service was extra slow. They had a water dispenser and we helped ourselves to cups of water, but it was room temperature 🙁 I could hardly drink it.
Our lunch came and my husband loved his chili, though he would have preferred some cornbread over a dinner roll. My sandwich was really delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the provolone, tomato, spinach, and pesto all came together with a great flavor! I loved the softness of the bread. (It came with avacado as well, but I chose to get that on the side)
However, my French fries were limp. They have the potato skins on them which I love, but they were not cooked enough and most of them were limp.
I would definitely order this sandwich again, but maybe get a different...
Read moreNever again! Cute place, cashier service was good. It took a long while to be served, even though there was only one person in front of me. I was forced to give a tip on the front end, which is ridiculous as youve not been served yet, and it is a self-serve place, so also ridiculous, but I did anyway. The food was horrific. It ranked up there with the worst in my lifetime. The potato salad was supposed to be homemade, though it didn't even remotely look or taste like it. It was tasteless and smooth textured, like store bought. I ordered a hot pastrami sandwich on marble rye only and it was $16 with the tip, no drink. My "hot" sandwich was cold, greasy and rindy, and the bread was soggy. I didn't complain as I didn't have time to wait, and I was hungry. I wish I would have had the pie instead, though I don't know that would've been any better. Go elsewhere and have yourself a pleasureable meal for your...
