My actual rating would be 3 1/2. The day we stopped their closing time was 10pm. It was about 8:45. Not a lot of options, many of the other places in the area close at 9pm on weekdays. We hadn't been there since they had opened, so time for another try, and I did recall liking their food. We pulled into the parking lot, and the first thing I noticed was that all of the outside lights and displays were turned OFF. As if to say, don't even bother, we're closing soon, we don't want your business. Very uninviting. I actually felt uncomfortable walking in because of this. We were seated in a booth next to the bar. The bar was covered in food crumbs in the area we were at, and it stayed that way for our entire visit. So were some of the other tables, floor. Our server, Chris, was very good though, and he made me forget about the mess for the most part. He was very pleasant and seemed to enjoy the job. I moved on and ordered a rum punch. Heavy on the pour, but tasty. The second one I tried was served with a bottle of Fever Tree ginger beer, which you add to the alcohol in the glass yourself. Very good choice, loved the ginger beer so much I bought a case of it days later for home. At that point our food had arrived, he had meatloaf. He wasn't impressed, thought that it was too over seasoned. With what, I don't know, I should have stolen a bite of it to try. My Zinger chicken flatbread came with both sauces I asked for on the side instead of one on it, and one on the side... adequate toppings. I found it easy to finish the whole thing because it was so thin. I might call it a large cracker with pizza toppings. If you don't like extremely thin, crunchy dough, it might not be for you. It should be a bit thicker imo. But I was impressed with their selection of blue cheese crumbles they included- great flavor, and it was the actual cheese, not some cheap dressing. Now I'm thinking we may have picked a night when they we short people, but...prioritize. Clean up first! If the front is disorganized, how is the kitchen? I saw enough interesting things on the menu I'd still go back to...
Read moreSo, I made a reservation for my Bridal Shower anout 3 weeks ago for tomorrow. I called to go confirm it the day before and the GM named Sarah completely got high-rate disrespectful in every aspect with me over the phone hanging up on me. That was only just because I was confirming the reservation on a busy moment. That could've been handled more professionally with a... Can you call back around this time because it's not a good time. I could've been understanding about that and left it as it be but she got really high-rate rude. It's an easy look up when the reservation book is right there at the host stand when I first made the reservation. Then she called my phone back blowing it up 6 times in a row while I was on the phone on an very important phone call with my aunt anout my dad and his stroke just to tell me she canceled my Bridal Shower Dinner reservation. Then she pulls out some disrespectful lie about her boss just because she's feeling some type of way. Like how does that work for her? How was it so busy that she had that kind of time to blow up my phone pressing the redial button on a very busy moment she claims, but couldn't check the reservation book. What sense does that make? That's a party of 20 in my Bridal Shower Dinner that she canceled because of her caught up feelings of the overwhelment of the job that has nothing to do with me. She messed with the business and only God knows how much money she had taken away from the business and server tips of almost $300 - $400 for that big of a party because my friends are all about 18% and more on tips. They are never spiteful on tips no matter their price on food they would spend on themselves. That day would've been a money maker for both the business and server(s) on shift. So, all of that was enough for me and I had to call corporate on her. I wouldn't recommend anyone going there or scheduling a reservation there either. Overall, I did find a place for my Bridesmaids and the other guests that are coming and the Habachi show it is. It would've been a lot more fun anyways. We...
Read moreWe were excited to stop by on Friday evening and pleasantly greeted by the hostess who opened the door for us and welcomed us. She was super sweet, polite and offered us a table but we opted for the bar. We immediately appreciated the atmosphere and agreed it was a cool place. Then we sat down. There were 6 people at the bar so not empty, but not full. We remarked that we must have gotten lucky to hit it while it was empty on a Friday night. But the bartender, Katie, was inattentive. So we thought, that was probably why it wasn't packed. It likely was packed prior to us getting there though because the glasses were stacked sky high behind the bar and on the bar, waiting to be washed. Where we sat down was sticky and hadn't been wiped down and Katie made no effort to do so. I did ask for a napkin to wipe it down and she gave it to me. After a while she asked if we'd like a drink and bright us menus, we ordered what is supposed to be the "specialty item" for Miller's, the zingers mountain something or other. It was a small order of loaded fries with chicken strips. They were dry, like jerky, dry, chicken strips. We got a salad and a burger for dinner. The burger looked good and didn't taste bad. The salad was pretty sad. I took a picture. The lettuce was wild and brown. The manager came out and knowingly avoided making eye contact when he saw my plate. At one point Katie did all if about the beer my husband was not drinking- there was a really strong smell of yeast around the bar, and apparently the taste of his beer denoted that the lines to the taps needed cleaning - but otherwise did not bother with us through the entire visit unless it was absolutely necessary. I hope it was just an off night. It's a cool place and the menu had a lot of potentially tasty things on it. Just not the...
