LA CANTINA AMIGON — Restaurant in Wilkes-Barre

Placed a catering order for my coworkers to the tune of $5513. I was told by the vendor, in writing, that the driver making the delivery would leave around 11am. The restaurant is a 15 minute drive away. While I would consider up to a 30 minute delay reasonable, I did not receive a call from the driver to let me know of his arrival until 12:17pm. Which means that delivery didn’t actually commence until closer to 12:30pm.

I explained to the vendor that we are a large operation of several hundred people. Maintaining break schedules is imperative to avoiding lags in production. I requested some concession for the tardiness 3 times: via text, face to face, and via voicemail when the vendor still did not respond. This place was amazing! Tried the tacos, the Birra Quesadilla, the chips and I'm 2 other things . Everything was excellent. You can tell with your food they take their time and it's made extremely well. Most of the meats in your food are slow cooked to perfection, they even took time to blanch the onion and Jalapenos that came with the food. Also the menu isn't overly expansive, to me that's a place that knows how to cook and cook your food so you get the best possible meal. Great new addition to the area, be going back for sure. I'm so grateful to have made it here for dinner. We were looking to try something new and remembered this place had opened up. The inside of the location has been beautifully redone. Everyone from the bartender, wait staff, and kitchen staff were very kind and friendly. They were very open and receptive to receiving any and all feedback. The food was phenomenal! I ordered a birria torta and the best part is that you can taste the slightest hint of cinnamon in the birria meat. It was tender and savory and the torta bread was perfect.
