Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Wilkesboro

Never go at opening (11:00 AM) I am guessing that was the problem Server had a great attitude and did her best. Food was seemed like leftovers. Dry, not much flavor. Had the boneless mositur-less wings and classic cheeseburger. Classic in the sense the bun was stale and the jerkey Patty was 3/16th of an inch. Anyway, hoping it was just a bad day for the restaurant. Throw the dice if you go, maybe I just caught them on a bad day Jan. 2nd 2024 In being fair, Applebee's corporate, local franchise owner and the store manager have all gone out of their way to make this right and to make sure I am a satisfied customer I really appreciate their professionalism and the fact that they all took time out their busy schedules to contact me and make it right. I was offered a 20 dollar credit towards my next visit, I didn't use it on my last visit there, and as I suggested in my previous review, it was just a bad day for the restaurant. The food was delicious the last time I went and way above par. I haven't mentioned any names here.... Because... Well you just never know any more. However everyone involved went far beyond what was expected and really made me appreciate them that much more. I won't use the credit offered because I know problems happen in the service industry and the hard working men and women are truly under appreciated by today's society. Thank you to everyone at Applebee's you have certainly restored my faith.

Food and drink was awful. Tea tasted like water. Dressing tasted like water,very watered down. Salad was not fresh,and 3 croutons was so overwhelming. Seriously though. The hostess took my order,server was standing right there and heard it. I ask for Xtra lemon. Said it twice to make sure she heard me. Food came out fast but no lemon. Server took an order at next table and I ask for lemon again. She brought their drinks but didn't bring my lemon. The lady ask for lemon and she brought mine at same time only because her asking jarred her memory. I listen to them order. One said no sour cream on potato yet when her food came out by another server there was sour cream. I ask for an extra dressing because I guess I thought more might add flavor. I was almost at the point of going to hunt server down to get my check. She finally arrived and as I was getting my bill ready I noticed my neighbor was completely dry on her drink. I told her I was sorry. The server had told these 2 ladies how bad her piercing had hurt and that she was drunk so that helped with the pain.Honestly I was thinking maybe she might still be. I know my being a server for yrs makes me more observant but it also makes me understand when I know there are things out of her or his control but honestly this...

I have been to this location several times. Never have I really had a problem before.

Today I go with my daughter and grandson and I was very disappointed. The service started out really good and we got our appetizer on time. When it came time for the meals(bacon cheeseburgers) to come out, which took longer than usual, my grandsons children's meal did not.. Of course I'm not going to sit there and eat in front of my grandson so we waited. We waited almost ten minutes maybe even longer before his actually came out. Which he ordered a chicken alfredo with mozzarella sticks. I'm not sure how adult meals come out before children's meals when the children's meal should have came out with the appetizer.. This is very unacceptable. All the waitress could say was I'm sorry I'm not sure why it took so long.. I'm not sure if that order was forgotten or was overlooked. whatever the deal was, it was definitely uncalled for. You should have kept the adult meals in the back until the child's meal was ready as well.. My cheeseburger had a unripe tomato on it and was also lacking the pickles.. I'm not one to complain so I paid for my meal and left.. There are a lot of places to choose from when dining out, this place will definitely be crossed...
