Great first impression! ❤️ Up front, I usually look for a few things with restaurants and across the board I really enjoyed going to Ember. Great evening-time atmosphere, good food, and enjoyable drinks. I should have taken food photos, but we had the Calamari, Miso-soup, Chi-chi sushi roll, Dragon sushi roll and topped it off with Creme Brulee. Before you ask, this isn't entirely a sushi restaurant, in fact the first page of the menu is American and well-curated Italian. This restaurant strives to bring together the best of many, and personally I think it succeeds. I recommend it and feel silly that I didn't take photos of the food. 🤦‍♀️ Just another reasom to stop back by I suppose. ☺️ Hope this helps.

Wow, Ember was an exciting dining experience that felt both elevated and welcoming! The warm inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for a relaxed evening out. The food was amazing! The tomato and burrata appetizer was the perfect way to start our meal—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The seared salmon was perfectly prepared. The scallop and aged parm risotto dish was rich and savory. The miso salted caramel chocolate mousse dessert was decedent yet airy. Service was exceptional from start to finish! The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and offered thoughtful recommendations. It’s clear the chef has a true vision. Highly recommend!

Gary and I had dinner at Ember last night, and it was absolutely wonderful! The food was delicious, the atmosphere warm, and the staff incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. It was only their second day open, but you would never know it — everything ran so smoothly. From the host to the owner, everyone was working together as a team and genuinely seemed to care about making every guest feel welcome. We love supporting local places, especially ones that already feel like home. Can’t wait to go back!

We stopped in during Ember’s soft opening and were impressed by how polished everything already felt. The restaurant is stylish and comfortable, with a relaxed energy that fits perfectly in Williamsburg’s dining scene.

We began with the Calamari, perfectly tender with a light crisp, and the Tuna Crispy Rice, was beautifully balanced and bursting with flavor. Both appetizers set the tone for what turned out to be an outstanding meal.

For sushi, we chose two of the Chef’s Special Rolls: the Umami Rush Roll, topped with thin, torched scallop strips that added incredible depth, and the Yuzu Hamachi Roll, our top pick of the night. That roll showcased Hamachi two ways and was as beautiful as it was delicious.

We finished with the chocolate mousse, the perfect sweet ending. The French Chardonnay we ordered was very reasonably priced and complemented everything nicely.

Details like the elegant soy sauce pitcher and high-quality reusable chopsticks made the experience feel extra refined. For a soft opening, Ember hit every note—great food, great service, and a touch of sophistication. We can’t...
