I am so glad I found this little hidden gem located in Merchant Square during my recent trip in Williamsburg. The place is small and cute and you have the option to sit outdoors for the tasting. My server who I unfortunately didn't get her name was very welcoming, friendly and helpful in my selection. You can purchase your drinks by doing flights or by the glass and if you like your choices, you have the option to buy it by the bottle. They have a great selection to choose from, but I just wished you can mix and match with the flights rather than choosing one kind (i.e, semi-sweet). The cost of four flights vary in price depending on what you choose and the cost per bottle can get quite costly, but it is so worth it. The wines I tasted were very good and I picked my top two for purchase, where they were put in a nice box to carry out. I also bought a wine glass for $8, whereas if you go to the winery 5 miles away you can get it for free. Overall, this is definitely a great spot to check out to grab a couple of drinks while you are out shopping.

My boyfriend were at the Williamsburg Winery Tasting Room on a Saturday. They were pretty busy but I very much appreciated how organized they were at getting people a spot in the tasting room. They had a host who was there to make sure everyone was given a spot in order of arrival. The wine was very good. We ended up purchasing a couple of bottles to take with us. The property is beautiful. You can buy cheese and crackers to enjoy your wine outside after your tasting.

This one of my favorite places to come to when I want to unwind after a long work week. The atmosphere of the tasting room is quaint and cozy, which is one of the many reasons why I enjoy visiting the tasting room. The staff has always been very pleasant and helpful. The wine has never been a disappointment. I also like how they incorporate other wine that is not part of the winery collection into the flight. I highly recommend The Williamsburg Winery Tasting Room.

I’ve been here and to the winery itself multiple times and have always had great experiences until this last time. My sister, friend , and I visited last Saturday and were off put by one of the female employees. She told the male employee not to give us a wine glass with our flights in front of us, which confused us being that I had just been to the winery a few weeks ago and was taught why you get a glass with a flight. We sat there and noticed other people receiving glasses with their flights, so my sister went up to the counter and asked for glasses. The first response from the female employee was “you can’t keep them”… we didn’t plan on it. We simply wanted to enjoy our wine properly. She explained that you have to ask for a glass in order to receive one. Before leaving we asked the male employee about that rule and he explained he had just learned about it right then. We enjoy coming here and to the winery. I hope this input can help with training your employees on how to treat every customer no matter...

Since discovering Williamsburg Winery upon my arrival in the area last year, both locations have become a favorite of mine. The delightful wines and warm hospitality always make for memorable experiences. However, the decor could use a refresh to match the quality of the offerings, and the recent departure of familiar faces has slightly diminished the sense of community. Additionally, the practice of selling high end wine out of a box seems somewhat incongruous for a winery of this caliber. Despite these minor drawbacks, the charm Williamsburg Winery continues to captivate me, and with some attention to detail, it has the potential to become an even more exceptional destination for wine...
