We took a tour. "We Shall overcome a Williamsburg Black History Experience" what an experience for real I've learned so much saw so much our tour guide was a white man named William I'm not being racist in any form or fashion. My husband and I were in awe. How much this man knows about black history? Do you hear me! The reason and only reason I put in race is because you never know a person until you have been around them for a few he even shared some of his life experiences, so Mr. William, thank you. You're an excellent tour guide. If you have never experienced this tour, please do so P.S ask for William 😉

What a lovely little theatre in the middle of Colonial Williamsburg. Went here during Christmas so parking was a little hard trying to find a space but within five minutes were able to park. It's a short walk if you can park close enough. Seating is good, amenities are also good. We saw Good Shot Judy and thoroughly enjoyed the whole show. Our seats were about half way up just off of middle toward the end of the row but visibility was good.

This review reflects a rating for both the theater and the show we saw tonight. The theater is a small venue but not a bad seat in the house. Well maintained, clean, and great acoustics. The band Wild Horses a Rolling Stones tribute band were really good. The theater has clean restrooms, concessions that serve beer and wine along with normal food items. Staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely return for other events

This past week my husband and I attended two programs at the Kimball Theatre: The Walking Statue: while amusing and in keeping with the period, there was a part of the play that ridiculed a Jew..more that one and in an extremely tasteless fashion. I am not Jewish but have Jews in my family and some are in Israel where I worry about them each and every day. The offense of this part of the play almost caused me to walk out. How dare Kimball Theatre allow such anti-Semitic positions taking on the stage. Offended is not the word....I am so angry. Not only was the play a ridiculous pile of worthless presentation, it was offensive. Music to Remember ("A Christmas Concert for Williamsburg") - the beginning was quite tolerable given you listened to nothing but a jazz interpretation of the Carols. BUT THEN THE ENSEMBLE decided to make up for songs not played during the MAY (???????????) concert. Their liberties were selfish and rude. Then the daughter of the main singer came out to sing with her mother - who gives a doggone who or what she was and why did WE have to listen to songs that had NOTHING to do with Christmas. There is only one word to express the feelings of my husband and I and that is "angry". Even the keyboard player joked "and you thought this was a Christmas Concert!). Enough was enough....the concert was never meant to be for the audience but rather their means by which to perform in the selfish fashion they preferred. At intermission...we walked out as did many people. Shame on Kimball Theatre. I have been coming to the theatre for numerous years but two horrible performances in one week closed my door to ever coming back. THINK before you allow a performance to be shown....remember people PAY for these follies. Keep your mouths shut to anti-Semitic parts of life, be true to your audience and give them what they are hoping to hear. I always considered Kimball Theatre quite a fine theatre presenting well performed plays, concerts, etc. But after this week...that all makes me reconsider. Lord knows, even a high school could present better...
