My family and I visited the location in Williamsburg, Kentucky yesterday evening (3/18) around 8:45pm. We were traveling through on our way back to Ohio from Gatlinburg.
Being a restaurant manager myself I could see the peak time the staff was working through. I looked back on the make like to see a young man, later identified as "Baldy" working solo on the sandwich station. He did not let the business effect his attitude nor did he show the stress on his face. He did not complain about asking for things to be fixed/remade, he did not throw a fit about being on the line solo, nor did he let any frustrations effect his communication with his team. He pushed through the rush and did his job with such grace.
The MOD was leading her team through positive reinforcement and great leadership. Sure, mistakes were happening, when don't they in a stressful situation? Staffing is a struggle for everyone in 2022, but leading with such a positive attitude is what makes a difference. Being the leader everyone needs pushes your team to execute in those intense moments.
When the next manager came in at 9pm, everyone "assumed their positions" and knocked out their screens in record time. Baldy finally got the backup, I am sure, he was counting down to getting. Everyone had such poise about themselves, excellent communication, great customer service, and overall just perfection.
My family and I finished eating a little after the team finished their "recovery" from the business. I could sense the pride of the team. Everyone was taking their moments to breath and just mentally reset.

Read moreI was very disappointed at this place. I got off work at 11 o'clock and went in for a burger. I stood at the counter for like 15 minutes. The workers kept looking at me standing there but no one came to the counter and asked could they help me. After about 15 minutes I finally asked is someone going to take my order. The guy from the back they kept looking at me walked up to the front and said sorry what can I get you. I placed my order for chicken avocado bacon sandwich. I paid got my cup and went to sit down. I waited and waited. Other people placed their orders, got their food and left. And I was still waiting. I went to the counter and asked and they forgot about me. The guy told me that they were cooking my chicken fresh. I went back and sat down. And I waited some more. More people came in, placed their order and got their food. I went back to the Counter. I was a bit upset. Again I asked where was my order. They told me it was coming. After about five more minutes I finally got my order. I sat down to eat. The fries were cold. I walked back to the counter and I asked for fresh fries. They said yes. And they were sorry. I was giving fresh fries I went back and sat down to eat. The sandwich was not very good. I've been into it and the chicken had cook for so long on one side that you couldn't bite through the chicken. I had to take the sandwich apart and actually peel off a part of the chicken. It wasn't burned but it was way overcooked and super hard. The bacon was hard. And I got what was left of pieces of lettuce. This was the second time I've been here and both experiences...

Should I start with the manager picking her nose and then opening a sandwich to see what it was then serve it, or the shift lead coughing all over the fry station and then when I told the manager she asked me what I wanted her to do because he was sick. Then the salad was being carried by the kitchen staff it fell and another employee helped scoop it back off of her shirt into the container and then served it. The manager looked like she just crawled out from under the fryer. I am surprised this place hasn't been shut down or at least some new management. This place was in complete disorder and the wait was 30 plus minutes, they had 13 people there so everything should have been running smoothly. Needless to say we didn't eat here even tried getting a refund and that would take 20 min according to the manager so I paid 17.23 for waiting 30 minutes for nothing.
