I went to Huddle House the other day Probably about 8pm and we were told the best cooks were in house that night. Service was alright, I had seen someone come in probably at 9:20pm and they were turned away because the store closed at 10. I think It was unexcusable because people can eat within 40 minutes, atmosphere was better it was quiet. But going back they stated that the better cooks were in that night and the food came, we had hair in my dad's food, it had to be made, my dad's fiance who recommended going to huddle house for dinner ordered a meat lovers omelette and instead received a Philly cheese omelette. I got a bacon cheeseburger and it was all burnt and the bacon was to where if you pinched it, it would quite literally turn to dust. My brother had ordered chicken strips and fries with Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese was cold and the chicken was burnt and almost black, my dad had ordered a half sweet half unsweet tea and they gave him just a regular unsweet tea, didn't fix it till the third time we asked. We were charged by the drink despite it not stating that on the menu, we weren't even let known until we were finishing up so the bills was around $15 more just from drink refills. I have to say for them saying they have their best workers in that night and then still messing up, either they weren't the best ones or I feel bad for your restaurant. I will never come back to Huddle House. Spent $95 on a meal for 4 id rather have went to a steakhouse at that point. It...
Read moreOften, I go in and out of restaurants, and everyone is going through the motions. There's nothing wrong with that - it's what we all expect.
That's why I am happy to tell you about the experience we had a Huddle House. Our server, Sam, was kind and considerate to our needs, top of the line waitress.
However, we saw her go far beyond our expectations when she served a patron at another table with special needs. She made conversation even though the person had a speech impediment, she showed interest in the patron's specific needs, and Sam made the woman feel special even though they were just getting a small order of dessert. It was not going to be some huge tip, but Sam made that person feel like they were someone of value. She could have simply communicated with the chaperone who spoke clearly, but Sam did not make anyone at that table feel invisible.
I then noticed that most of the servers, cooks, and workers were showing this level of courtesy all throughput Huddle House.
So this review is really not about the food or seasoning, it's about the salt of the earth, Sam, and the people who will make you feel like you matter at Huddle House. I would recommend that every person visit, tip well, and enjoy the atmosphere.
I left with a smile and greater faith...
Read moreOver all I think it's a great little restaurant. The waitress who waited on me was very professional and friendly. The cook also did his best to accommodate me. The only criticism I have of your restaurant is that you don't seem to have chicken and biscuits. Whenever I go to the huddle house this is my favorite thing to eat there and you all don't seem to have it. If you had some chicken and biscuits to offer me the way other huddled houses do then I would have given you 5 stars. I was also very impressed that my waitress was spending so much time cleaning the place up. I drive a truck over the road and I cannot tell you how weary I grow of seeing nasty little restaurants that look as though no one even cares enough to clean them up. What's your Waitress seemed to be going out of her way to make your place cleaner. Not long ago I got a stomach virus from one of your competitors and I very much suspect it was possibly due to some dishes that may have not been cleaned properly. Because this waitress went out of her way to keep your place clean that makes me believe I can come back here and eat often and not have to worry too much about getting sick. I...
