The Panera in Williamsport pa is terrible it doesn’t matter if we go in or go through the drive thru. They always mess up are order 10 out 10 it’s wrong. My family have given them chance after chance. I can tell you that we have been a patron of this “restaurant” at least 40 times in 2018. I work out of town and my wife tries to bring are son along and travel with me as much as they can. We like Panera for my son who is a picky eater, the thinking is always we can get something for him that he likes, is quick, and healthy for him to eat. I don’t know if the workers there are doing it intentionally, b/c they know it’s is my family b/c we use a Panera card every time and it has are name on the order every time and we always order the same things we have even made the same order more then once in the same week. They might just be incompetent or the employee morale is in the gutter. I don’t really understand why they can’t get it right maybe they have poor management at this particular Panera. We order the same thing every time and it’s either wrong or they sling ingredients so fast and carelessly that they get HOT PEPPERS on a plain grilled cheese sandwich seriously it’s bread and cheese IDK what happens in that kitchen 9 out 10 it gets ruined from those peppers my son is 2 years old he can’t and won’t eat anything spicy we also ask for avocado on the side in a dish or bowl by it’s self and it is always either on the sandwich or in my wife’s salad which has dressing on it that my son won’t eat. It is extremely frustrating especially when I’m only home on a weekend for a short period time and we need something for him to eat in a pinch while we are or out running errands or we are trying to have some quality family time trying get out of the house and enjoying are short period of time together as a family or my wife is taking him to soccer shots or other activities. I really don’t like anything they have on they’re menu there maybe a cookie lol, we just go there for my son. Every time we go we think it’s the healthiest place for him in the shortest amount of time but it’s not really worth if they get the order wrong every time and my son gets nothing eat, we either have to get him a muffin or something sweet or waste more time going to another place so he eats. So for me this place is terrible I feel like it’s an over priced fast food place that doesn’t care about quality of food or it’s customers but We love are son and I want him to be happy and healthy that’s why we keep giving them chances but from now on I’ll pack him a lunch if we are going to be away from home or try to make time for a real quality establishment b/c for the money that they charge for a grilled cheese you can easily get a quality full-filling meal that is much more satisfying, for nearly the same dollar $$ amount it’s a joke the prices they charge for what they serve. In my experience basically all other restaurant would be equally priced and much better quality. there are much better places in Williamsport to spend your hard earned money for a good relaxing meal that doesn’t come with slapped together sandwiches and attitudes especially when you ask them to right there mistakes right for you. You are way better taking the extra 15-20mins for a real meal without the disrespect! Thank you Sincerely Chris Ungard P.S we have had much better luck with the Panera in state college, but anyway I would still give Panera in general 2 thumbs...
Read morePurchased food online for a party of 12 to 16 February 8th, approximately 10 hours prior to pick up. When I arrived at 12:30pm to get my food order, it wasn't ready. I spoke to the day manager and provided the order number I was given when my card was successfully charged the $84.27!! She had no record of my order. She asked if I used my Panera card when ordering, to see if she could track the order with my Panera card. I said no. She asked to see the record of my purchase using my cell phone, I told her I used my home computer. She asked if by chance I placed ordered for a different location. I said no, and my credit card account shows the Williamsport Panera phone number attached to this order.
I was stuck. I almost started to panic. I told her I've got at least 12 senior citizens waiting for me to bring food for lunch at 1pm to honor my mother's 79th birthday 🎂. She asked me what I ordered. I literally couldn't remember. I rattled off 7 different sandwiches, asked if they could wrap each half. I grabbed a dozen of their delicious pre wrapped cookies and made sure I had 14 bags of chips.
I ended up spending more last minute, but that's ok. Their amazing team had my order ready in 15 minutes and I arrived to deliver the food at 1pm!!
I probably won't order online again, but their food is always good, and service is always great. I'm still disputing the original charge with my credit card company, but that's for a...
Read moreThis Panera is about 2 minutes off of Route 15/180 which makes it a quick stop if you are coming through Williamsport. It also is right next to Starbucks which even makes it a better stop!
The place
One downside is they dont have the new Kiosks so you can order your food without waiting in line when it is busy. One thing I really like about this and all Panera's I have been in is they are clean. Yes you might find a dirty table but the place including the bathrooms are clean which is a big plus for me.
The food
I ordered the pick two with the Frontega Chicken Panini with the BBQ Chicken Salad. Both tasted great and I always feel I am getting fresh food when I go which is a big plus for me. I also am one of those cheap people who gets a glass of water as to save money. Just a thought to all you budget conscious people out there :) Another plus if you get the meal you get a bakery item for 99 cents! Let me tell you how tempted I am to do it when you talk in and see all those pastries, scones ect. Talk about a great value!
The verdict
Panera is one of my top go to places when I am traveling and especially limited on time. You always know what you are going to get. I love that I feel I can eat quality food and still...
