👻 The Genetti Hotel in Williamsport, PA holds dark secrets… Rumors of hauntings on the 8th floor—where a priest and a young girl both died. Guests report footsteps, voices, and shadows that never leave… 🕯️ Would YOU spend the night? 🏨 #HauntedHotel #pennsylvania #paranormal #ghoststories #ghost

HORRIBLE! I rarely leave reviews but it's necessary here. I booked this hotel several months ago for the Little League world series. Myself, my son, and his friend wanted a change in scenery after staying at the wonderful Grand City Hall hotel for the past 3 years. This turned out to be a huge mistake. I booked a room with two queen beds and checked in about 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday August 19th. I was immediately told that I cancelled my room the day before when I called the hotel. However, I never called the hotel. This hotel gave away my room and/or double booked. Completely unacceptable practice. I was then told they had one room with one Queen bed. After an hour or so, we gathered one day bed and one cot for the three of us after being told there were no other arrangements available unless we wanted to try and find another hotel. I was assured by the front desk staff that this was their error and they reserved (two separate rooms) each with two queen beds for our second night stay. Fast forward to Thursday night and we check in and were told by the same staff that our room once again only had one queen bed and not two! Once again we were told we could stay in the same room with the same arrangements! Complete failure. The staff was overwhelmed by the sold out hotel during world series Little League week. Management should have had much more staff on hand. Most times they had one staff member at the desk and he had to put a sign up when he left to check on other hotel issues. Our room is never cleaned after day one. The gym was not only adequate and not very useful with broken equipment but dangerous with the third prong cut off from a treadmill cord. The old and outdated carpets, molding, doors, stairways were the least of our worries. A manager did compensate one of our 2 nights but it certainly did not make up for the deceitfulness, lying, aggravation and inconveniences

We stopped over in this hotel on our way to roaring branch PA and stayed overnight. What a fantastic hotel with a nice little history when we first entered the hotel it had an old world feel to it. On our way to the front desk, there’s a small neat display of the history of the hotel. Check-in was very simple we received our key card instantly as well as vouchers for free continental breakfast. Here are a few pictures that I attached, the room was decorated very nicely sort of stately a nice size room with a 2 double beds with plenty of room to spare, which I loved. All the usual amenities that you would expect from a great place like this, free coffee and tea and nice selection on a decent size, LCD television, a desk and a chair night lights with USB ports for charging that actually work! The bathroom was in decent shape the showerhead, great water pressure many toiletries and towels were provided. My only issue was the toilet very undersized if you’re a big guy like I am 6 to 300 pounds but I think even an average size person would agree they could’ve went a little further other than that everything was great. a good selection for local food which they provided menus and recommendations and very quiet, peaceful sleep we had with no Interruptions. They have gated parking and a pool as you enter into the hotel, which was very nice decently sized and open late until 11 PM if I recall check out was very simple, I provided a few photos

Don't let the non chain name and age of this hotel fool you. This is an awesome place to stay! The integrity of this hotel alone beats any of the chains, but more importantly, the staff at the Genetti far exceed service than any other hotel I have ever stayed at. I always feel like I am among friends and the attention and service they provide is A+++. Most people want the most modern hotels with all state of the art decor, environment, and technology. The Genetti gives you what you need in todays times and provides a taste of the 'GOOD OLE' DAYS!" I must compliment that the Genetti works extremely hard to update their facilities, while still mantaining the integrity of the hotel built more than 80 years ago. I want to highlight some of their greatness. You have the front desk who is always so willing and attentive to assist you. And their manager, she rocks! They truly imulate her dedication and desire to proved the best service possible. The breakfast bar is excellent. NO OTHER HOTEL GIVES YOU THE CHOICES THAT YOU WILL GET AT THE GENETTII! Plus, there is a server in the mornings, the beautiful lady with black hair, big smile that starts your day off with sunshine no matter what it is like outside! My only wish is that she was there everyday! Maybe a raise will get her to work daily. SHE ROCKS!!!! She is bar far the best server I have ever come across. I hope she is still there when I return this year!~ I most also compliment dinner. There dinners are fabulous, though I would like to see some other fish choices beside Salmon. Excellent food, spirits, atmosphere, and service in the restaurant. I must compliment housekeeping and the young lady that provides us with drinks during the day and our lunches. She is awesome. I have never had a single issues with my room and I have been going there for 5 years now 5 times a year. I also want to saluate the GM and his family. First of all, you find many GM's that won't even speak to you. NOT him. He makes a personal effort to make you feel at home, to ask you how your stay is going and if there is anything he can do. He's is exceptional! I also want to compliment how personable his wife and two daughters are also. They greet you in the mornings and whenever you run into them. They help you feel right at home. Try the Genetti and get out from behind the chain gang. I promise you that the service alone is worth it be the trip down the memory lane of the "GOOD OLE' DAYS" will be well worth it!

I appauled the Genetti hotel, management, and staff for their...

If you read the responses from the manager it is clear she cares little for complaints and comes across badly online. Her lack of concern permeates to those below. Quite frankly why should she care about customer complaints? Unreasonably high rating on Google and although not a great place, probably best hotel in the area. Here is a list of things she cares little to address as I'm not the first to complain. They have a smoking problem addressed by no smoking signs and a wink. Nightly smoke fests with cigarettes cigars and weed on the restaurant patio which they open to the loby. Smoke blows through the open veranda into the restaurant and through the doors that are kept open to the lobby filling the lobby elevators and halls with smoke. Smoking at the pool under the non smoking signs. I told the front desk and their response was "they are not supposed to." Of course they are not, they are smokers and no smoking rules do not apply to them. Big coffee maker in lobby not open 24 hours like most best western. No room service. Maid stood at our door requiring me to empty the trash and bring it to her. I requested room service... had to go down several times for towels soaps coffee for the cheap in room pot that was not good. I was my own room service. No ventilation in bathrooms leads to mold and deteriorating tiles and grout. Filthy carpets in hotel entrance. Breakfast better than most BW hotels. Better quality fresh eggs and meats. Wait staff clearing your plates so tips expected. Can't use restaurant at night because smoking at least during warm weather. The two rooms I had were well appointed and comfortable except for the bathrooms. They were clean and luckily not smoked in recently. I'm sure smoking in rooms is a huge problem at this hotel. It's a problem everywhere else here. Small fridge and microwave in room. Nice TV. Clean hallways. Nice old hotel charm. Pool is not heated and was frigid in June. Plenty of free parking and luggage carts. Great location near popular restaurants. 20 different room types, be sure you know which you are getting. Deal with smoking, clean your lobby and carpets, provide 24 hour tea and coffee in lobby, respect your guests constructive criticism and improve management's attitude and...

Rented the King Suite with a whirlpool for five nights. Chose this hotel on a lark as we just needed to get away. We’ve never stayed here before and saw glowing reviews. Pictures of the rooms were beautiful. I was initially nervous because the prices seemed too good to be true. Very easy to find the building and the parking lot next to it is very secure. Woman working the desk at 10PM was extremely helpful and brought a cart to the parking lot for us. Easy ramp up from the parking lot into the building and there’s two elevators in the lobby. (I saw a review where someone complains about there being no ramp, just steps. I assume they came in the wrong way.) Super easy to get your bags in from the parking lot. Stayed on the 9th floor. The room is lovely and homey. Feels very natural and welcoming. I would compare it to staying in a room at a close friend’s house. That is to say that yes, you may see a crack in the tile flooring or a loose area of drop ceiling, but it feels like a HOME. It feels comforting and you can just hang out in the room most of the day and relax. Did get a little drafty but not bad at all when the heat was bumped up a bit. After that, the room was very warm and cozy. Very quiet and peaceful in the room itself. Comfy bed with nice clean sheets. The hotel itself is a treat. What a history! We spent a little time exploring and it’s so much fun. Stop and check out the walls in the halls, for sure. Absolutely awesome! You will have to request housekeeping, but that is fine and if you want towels or more toiletry items, it’s super easy to just ask at the desk and they’ll get it to you without a fuss. Honestly, it was nice to have the privacy. Complimentary breakfast was very nice. Good options each day and they change it up a little. The staff was very pleasant. Please leave a tip, they work very hard. We stayed around Christmas and there was a lot to do in the area. Adorable shops surround the hotel, as well as good restaurants and pubs. Try out their restaurant downstairs as it is very good! Might I suggest the blueberry lemon cheesecake? You will love it!

And, last thing. The prices...
