Judi’s Ice Cream in Williston, VT A Fraction of the Menu, Twice the Wait

I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but my experience at Judi’s Ice Cream in Williston, VT was so disappointing I couldn’t just let it go. Hopefully, they’ll take this feedback as a chance to improve.

First off, the menu is completely out of date: no dips, no Captain Crunch (and likely more, but this was my experience). Their version of a “twist” is vanilla and maple, which feels more like a limitation than a creative choice. Most places offering a twist include chocolate. It’s a basic expectation. This was misleading and underwhelming.

What’s especially frustrating is that this is a new business. There’s no excuse for not updating the menu to reflect what’s actually available. With a new business, you should still have all the digital copies of your menus and signage. It should be easy to edit them and make sure they accurately reflect what you actually offer. At the very least, cross off items on physical signs with tape and update online menus across your website and social media. Not doing so shows a lack of attention to detail and a disregard for your customers’ time and expectations.

Service was equally disappointing: slow, confused, and disorganized. Staff seemed unsure of what they were doing and what they were offering, and the wait was far too long for such a limited product.

And yet, there was a line. Why? I truly don’t understand. The experience did not live up to the hype it seems to be generating.

I usually believe in second chances, and I understand that everyone can have an off day. But honestly, they’d have to pay me to give Judi’s Ice Cream...

Stopped in here today some 10 minutes before they closed. Before today I’ve never been here and I will say I will be back now.

I was frustrated at the long lines and poor service at the village scoop and ended up here. Best decision ever.

Even though it was almost closing time the people working were friendly and happy to see me. The guy checking out my order even made me a suggestion on an item to save me money. (Was getting a small for my dog and he told me about the pup cup, which isn’t on the menu!)

It was lightning fast service, an easy to get to location with friendly people. And was super inexpensive, out the door before tip was under $10. And that’s with getting the expensive one.

Rare to see such...

I've been here 5 times. Love love the soft serve Maple. PRICY, however, it's worth it. Great place to take your wife for a date night treat after dinner. Line can be long during desert time in the evening. Customer service was good. Love the vibe and location. Plenty of parking. Bring friends to talk with while waiting in line. It's worth the wait. My wife enjoys the hard ice cream even though it's outsourced... It's a treat and experience, and we don't have to do any dishes. Perfect for a date night....
