I had rated them a 4āļøin 2022 after about a dozen visits. Jan 2024 update: My daughter and I had plans that fell through and she was distraught so I called up to see if they could fit us in shortly - and the guy on the phone was curt as usual as though it were a nuisance Iād called to set a time. He refused, snapping at me to just show up (which hasnāt historically worked well for us, nor many of the other reviewers here). Went over to an almost empty salon and the older guy at the desk literally refused to quote me a price on what we were asking to have done. What business does that? A deluxe pedicure for me and a new gel set of nails for her. I had to ask him no less than six times to confirm which service we were getting while pointing to it in their menu book. Each time he would step close and physically flip the next pages over where my hand was in the book and sneer at me that they knew what they were doing. I said thatās nice, but I would also like to know what you are doing and what Iām being charged for up front. All the while blatantly talking smack to co-workers who would then look, laugh and respond. Horrible start and I wish we had just left at that. Pick colors, go sit in the chair which he had put lukewarm water into when we walked in - how nice. I hadnāt even had a chance to scoot back into the chair or put both my feet in when she grabbed my right foot and started in on the nails! Zero soak time (which I guess was fine since there was also zero filing or scrubbing of callus spots). Hadnāt gotten the chair to work yet either which was the biggest thing I was looking for. Fiddled with the non-working buttons on the chair for a few minutes while she roughly trimmed and painfully filed the nails. Finally I stopped her and said look, Iād really like for the massage part of this experience. They reset it quite rudely and I got a very dissatisfying light up-and-down rolling motion for the 10 minutes it took to scramble through a $50 pedi! The second thing I really wanted was scrub of feet and callouses. Never happened. No paraffin either. I did get some ice cold lotion squirted on my shins and rubbed aimlessly up and down on my shin bone a few times. No massage. She did enthusiastically pound on my arches a few times which at this point felt more like her frustration than a spa service. Never once touched my heels or the pads of my feet!!! Total waste of time, money and ALL of my patience. My daughterās nails did turn out looking ok. But she suffered the same disinterested and brusque treatment. The light was burning her hands and the woman didnāt speak ONE word to her until the very end she snapped ālight off, go wash your handsā. All in all $125 for 25 minutes of highly uncomfortable physical and verbal mistreatment when you are paying for the exact opposite. So⦠for the first time in all my life - I did not tip for a service I received. Still feels like a scumbag move despite how awful they were - so now I get to feel badly and conflicted too on top of receiving the worst service imaginable. I will never step foot...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst off, this wasn't my first choice of a nail salon to go to. I went because it was the only place that had availability on short notice. My nails turned out well. However, it was rushed, the guy doing my nails only told me to put my hand in and out of UV lamp and handled me and my nails harshly. He wasn't careful, it wasn't clean and the files used were certainly not clean. Others who came in while I was there were sitting waiting for a long time even though they had made appointments. Reading other comments I agree that the establishment is poorly run and many clients are rushed and don't have a good experience. After picking out a chrome color I was told that I "chose the wrong color" I was told to show a picture of what I wanted. He told me the picture wasn't the color I'd picked out and he'd make my nails look like the picture. They didn't, but I do really like how they turned out. I didn't feel like the employees cared about their clients. They were all talking to each other in their native language and not making any effort to ensure that I or anyone else was enjoying their experience. I was also told that for almond shaped nails I couldn't have them as short as I wanted. I feel frustrated about that as they most certainly could've been filed shorter to achieve the shape I wanted. Overall, I felt like the experience wasn't enjoyable and the people who work there have a lot to work on. But I do love my nails and hope they will last. Not to mention I was charged twice for my appointment and had to call them back, send in a picture of my receipt and all of my credit card information to get a refund. I've been assured I will have a refund, but my bank statements haven't shown that yet. Won't be going back and would recommend other nail...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have never written a negative review before but after my experience this afternoon I felt it was necessary to let others know what to expect at this establishment.
I had a scheduled appointment for a full set with gel French tips and brought a reference photo for a natural, rounded shape. The owner started the process by applying the tips and shaping, which was fine, then handed me off to another nail tech to finish. Thatās when things went completely downhill.
She rushed through the entire service, applying the product incredibly thick and sloppily, getting product on my skin. I asked politely multiple times for the shape to be corrected ā she acted annoyed and defensive, then said, āThis is how I always do it. Have you ever even had your nails done before?ā I have⦠at this salon, with Amy, who is absolutely amazing. Her work is careful and clean. This experience was the opposite.
I even tried to be understanding and told her I didnāt mind waiting if they were overbooked, I just wanted the service done properly. Instead, I was made to feel like a burden for speaking up. The entire time, she was rude and dismissive. It was clear she wanted to get me out of the chair as fast as possible.
What was supposed to be a relaxing treat ended in tears. $55 is a lot for me, and I walked out feeling disrespected and completely let down. At the end, she looked at my nails and said, āSee, thereās nothing on your skin now,ā and walked off to her next client without so much as a goodbye.
The nails are not horrible but that is only because of how adamant I was the entire time to receive the quality I expect when paying for a service.
The first image is what I showed as a reference and the other two pictures are my...
