Superb Cupcakes — Local services in Williston

This wonderful local place has the best cupcakes that I've ever had and are the ones that I compare all other cupcakes to. I'm fine with that sounding over the top. I stand by it! I've been meaning to write this review for years. I'm fine being a woman in her 30s who is excited about well-made treats to the point of writing a loooong review.

The cake is light and fluffy and never dry or crumbly. The cream cheese and buttercream frostings are smooth and rich without being cloyingly sweet, without gritty sugar crystals making the texture crunchy or ever leaving your mouth feeling coated in butter. When there is a filling, it adds something special to the flavor combination without being too much or making anything soggy or too messy. The toppings are pretty and simple and never take away from the texture of everything together.

People seem to get confused about how the shop operates and think they're closed odd hours, but it's just that they make a selection of their flavors from scratch daily and sometimes sell out before their official closing time. The prices so reasonable for made from scratch, quality fresh baked goods. They're a small business, people need to cut them some slack for not making two batches of like ten different flavors without knowing if they'll sell-- you never get day(s) old or frozen cupcakes here and that's worth the trade-off of them not always being available like at a chain supermarket. Just call ahead!

Here's how it works: To see what selection of flavors is offered for the day, check out their Facebook or Instagram page (links on their website at the bottom) or call and ask. Call in your order as soon as you can if you want to be more likely to get them. If they sell out, you can still pick your order up until the end of their normal hours by calling when you arrive (and yay for their Covid measures!).

If you have a special occasion or fall in love with a flavor, don't hesitate to custom order! My wishlist for future special occasions is long-- seriously, check out their website and prepare to drool at the massive list of classic and clever flavors. I'm especially a big fan of citrus and of the ones that add a tart or contrasting flavor as filling: Lemon Curd (lemon cupcake, lemon curd filling, cream cheese frosting) and Lemon Raspberry (raspberry jam filling, lemon buttercream frosting) and their Maple actually tastes like real maple which is always a hit. The minis are custom orderable in most of the flavors too and are a great size for sharing around.

I just picked up my birthday cupcake order (Lemon Curd full size and Strawberry Lemonade minis) and I'm looking forward to dropping off some local sweetness to friends and family. Thanks again,...

We ordered these cupcakes for our wedding. We got Vermont maple bliss, chocolate ganache, blueberry, and carrot cake. They were all amazing. We got so many compliments on them. We over-ordered and had about 36 left over that we took home. For 7 days straight I had about 5 cupcakes a day and I never got sick of them and was sad once they were all gone. Maybe that's a problem with how I am, but really I just think that shows how perfect these cupcakes are. They have the perfect balance of being rich without being too sweet. FANTASTIC! Great service, great cupcakes, really reasonable prices. I had submitted an order online for my daughter's birthday. There was an online glitch and the order didn't go through-when I called the day before to confirm, they were great about it, and had the order ready when I needed it!
