I have been there twice and today was the first time in 6 years yet the food was delicious. The host was very friendly and very happy to see us when we walked in. After brief conversation you were set at our table it probably greeted by our server and soon we placed our order which arrived rather quickly. The environment is peaceful with soft music playing. It was not very crowded for lunch. I had the soup de fazool and chicken piccata with mixed vegetables and my counterpart had the crab soup and shrimp pasta. We cannot wait to return

The food is mediocre - nothing impressive and nothing awful. Went during lunch time with co-workers and the service was slow. Our server had a difficult time keeping each person's water glass filled, which is one of my pet peeves, since I hate being thirsty while eating my meal, especially as it wasn't busy. The decor was nice - very Italian haha.

Old World Italian atmosphere. The food was delicious. I got lasagna made of crepes. My friend had a fish dish. As a picture hound, I take lots of area photos and then forget to do one of the entree before digging in! Nothing worse than a picture of a half eaten meal. Our server Erica was fairly new per her admission but she took good care of us.

How the mighty have fallen. We'd been coming here for years, always experiencing good service and delicious meals. I was surprised at how bad our most recent visit was. 15 minute wait after seating to get water. Then another 10 minutes until oil was put into the dipping dish (the waiter hastily--and unnervingly-- borrowing the oil bottle from another table of guests). Sat there with water and oil for another 15 minutes until some VERY stale bread was delivered. The table was full of crumbs because of how stale the bread was. Waiter came back and told us about the specials and took our drink order. Waiter came back after 5 minutes or so to deliver the drinks (iced teas). We placed our order for two soups and two entrees. We then proceeded to wait another 20 minutes for the soups to arrive and then only because we asked. The bowls for soup arrived and then we waited another 10 minutes for the soups. At this point, we had been seated for over 75 minutes. Another server arrived mere moments after the soups with our entrees, saying out loud, "Oh no. This is too early." The entrees were taken away (we didn't ask them to do this) and we then rushed through the soups because the entrees were sitting somewhere waiting for us. After eating the soup, we sat with empty bowls for another 10 minutes until these were taken away with the table behind us--who had been seated 30-40 minutes AFTER us--receiving their entrees. We then waited another 5 or so minutes until our entrees were re-delivered. After eating our entrees for 15 minutes or so, we were well past two hours from seating.

Possibly owing to our disappointed mindset from the exceptionally long wait times, the food was underwhelming. Beyond the stale bread, one soup was served freakishly hot, while the other was more watery than it should have been. Entrees were OK. The staff seemed unconcerned with the service, though our waiter did apologize for the issue with the soups, saying he didn't know why they took so long.

Overall, a bad, bad experience. Not sure if we'll come back. Years of great meals and service shouldn't be affected by one bad visit but, whew...this one was...

We are frequent diners at San Nicola and for the most part we enjoy the food and the ambience. Recently, we have noticed a slide in the food and service. We enjoy eating at the bar because we like the bartenders and engaging with the other patrons at the bar. Always an enjoyable evening. This evening we sat at the bar for dinner and one of the waitresses that work at the restaurant came in to dine. She made everyone move down so she and her gentleman friend could be accommodated at the bar. This ended up making all of us squished in to each other. She then proceeded to be loud and obnoxious the entire time. Since she is an employee, she recognized her regular customers but failed to understand we are patrons not her friends. Big difference. Several of us were eye rolling over her loud, inappropriate behavior and commented on how employees really should not be allowed to patronize with clientele. Especially when they are drunk. This waitress completely commandeered the bar area and ruined several diners evening with her loud, uncouth behavior. A reminder to staff - just because regular diners are nice to you does not mean we are your friends and want to see you be unbecoming in public. We were very disappointed that management did not discourage this employee’s behavior. I know if we are there again and see this employee, we will leave at once. Note to management - please do not allow your drunk employees to frequent your...

Well Well Well

My name is Anthony and I work for an assisted living facility and i took some of my residents to this establishment.I took two residents off of the mini bus to take them in the restaurant to get situated at the lady at the front came in the back to get me asking me to move the bus, mind you it's a small parking lot. I wasted know time went to the front and start putting my wheelchair lift up and the owner is yelling saying he was waiting for over 30mins and I was even there for more than 6. He proceeds to calling me names,I turn my back to ignore him and he keeps calling me names and approaching me. It took everything in me to stay professional

He was super unprofessional.,rude,ignorant etc

I went into the restaurant to get the owners name(Vito) from the lady up front and she was hesitant on giving it to me. I said to her your boss just lied and said he was waiting for 30mins and you know we just got there. She finally tells me and I told her he was rude, aggressive, ignorant and she defended him and is PURE IGNORANCE

IT TAKES NOTHING TO BE KIND TO SOMEONE ESPECIALLY IF THEY'RE SENIOR CITIZENS SUPPORTING THE BUSINESS AND HE HAD MORE THEN ONE WAY TO GET ON THE PROPERTY

VITO IS RUDE IGNORANT AGGRESSIVE

NO COMPASSION FOR SENIORS

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL TO ANYBODY

THE LADY UP FRONT(SHE'S SHORT) AND THE...
