Beal's Pickles and Pints — Restaurant in Willoughby

We got various thing on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and were lucky enough to sit ouside. Our server was right there and perfect in her ability to see what we needed (and was tipped accordingly). The issue with the patio is that it's the smoking area. That and the prices are quite high for generally bar food. I got a fish and his which was great. A reuben was also excellent as were the pickle burgers except that one came out without the salsa (they corrected that quickly). Then we had to try the asiago smashed which was incredible. It took a while for that as well. We started with the pickle appetizer Wayyyyy over priced but interesting. They need to be more cognizant of how people want their burgers cooked if they ask because they were not done correctly. (We did not send them back but they were not correct). Booked a party 2 months in advanced of the date. I found out the week of by someone that they booked a band, and didn't bother to talk to me about it at all. Took almost 2 days to hear anything back from them. Severe lack of communication, and the owner didn't seem to care one bit. Found out a few days later they also had another party booked for the same night. To tiny of a place for that kind of cluster, glad I found out before hand, but unfortunately it wasn't from them. I used to really enjoy this bar, but the lack of leadership and care for customer satisfaction I will NEVER return to this established. Me and my fiance stopped in yesterday evening and I must say I am glad that we did. I was so impressed by the quality and taste of the mussels and pita chips. They were so fresh and amazingly delicious. After my first bite I told my fiance that "someone in that kitchen knows what they are doing" After the mussels I had to try the lasagna and when ordering the server who by the way was very sweet and helpful. Don't let me forget to compliment the service as well because the server was on point from the moment we walked in. The server gave me the rundown on the chef and let me know that he makes the marinara sauce from scratch and that I would love it.. she was right. I loved it! Some of the best lasagna I've ever had! I highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back! I now want to taste everything...
