Añejo Mexican Grill & Tequila Bar — Restaurant in Wilmington

Parking is at a premium around here. We parking down the street at the ACME, and walked over.

This is a cozy place, good size bar, with an outside seating area. I liked the decor inside with some luchador masks thrown in there. We sat at the bar, the bartender was attentive with a great attitude. Anything we needed, we got in a reasonable amount of time. This place had a neighborhood bar vibe to it. This will not be my last time here for sure.

I ordered a Modelo draft. The temperature was tolerable, but slightly warmer than I like my draft beer. They have a monsterous selection of Tequila here!!! They claim to have over 100, and it looks to be truth. Julio 1942 @14, Clase Azul Repo @ 10 on Sundays (Special), and Cuervo gold coming in @ 7. Tequilas are priced nicely, not as good as Jefe, but great in any city.

I ordered Enchiladas verde: pork enchiladas topped with house made salsa verde & fresh avocado $14. The enchiladas cut easily with a fork and were just as good as I've had anywhere. The pork was moist a delicious, seasoned perfectly, and the tortillas were ok. The verde sauce is really good. Mah didn't really care for them at all, taking one bite and saying they were ok.

I ordered Anejo street tacos: soft corn tortilla, slow roasted pork, chopped cilantro & onion, and salsa verde. With beans & rice $12. Tasted just like the enchiladas obviously lol! I should have read the description better when I chose the same meats. The cilantro and onion were a little mushy, and the tacos were very wet, dripping everywhere. Beans...thick, luke warm, just no. Some investigating has been done.Don't eat there, dont get a drink there, dont go there. Trust the advice the food is over priced par quality, the staff and the owner himself are malicicous, deceptively friendly, irrational unprofessional, and they are racist and or prejudice from reports by people who might have used to go there but were unreasonably turned away. Should you get into an altercation not of any fault by you they still blame you and without reconciliating a proper remedy to the customer and would make abuse of the legal system against you in...

This was the second time I came here in the last 6 months. First time, the experience was great. I came during a very busy time and everything was exceptional. This time, I came at 7:30pm on a Saturday evening and there was just one person at the bar. The bartender was too busy socializing with her co-worker. I ordered a jalapeño margarita and there were no jalapeños in the drink. The stuffed peppers were horrible.
