Dino's ice cream & Italian water ice — Restaurant in Wilmington

I wasn't going to post a review, but today I had another bad experience. About a month ago I waited over 25mins for 3 waterices & a funnel cake. I noticed on my receipt I was charged for an extra waterice. The cashier fixed it & apologized, but when I got the funnel cake it was hard as a rock so I returned it to the window. The teenager at the window told me he couldn't refund me & that he had to wait for his boss to get back. I was on my lunch break so I didn't have time to wait for another. So I sternly & kindly told him "that's not how business works sweetheart. This is no fault of my own. I need my money back please." He hesitantly gave it back. When I went today, there was a customer waiting for her order. Once she got it, the worker walked away while myself & another person waited in line. I waited for 2-3mins and left. I love that there's teenagers working there. Keeping the kids busy during the summer. However, the customer service just isn't good. They're kind but they don't seem to know what they're doing. I don't take statements like these lightly, but Dino's has the BEST water ice I've ever had in my life. They have a huge variety of flavors but that doesn't stop them from doing everything with quality. My favorite flavors are their mango and coconut flavors. Dino and Teri are who I usually see but all the staff I've met have been great and greet you warmly. In addition to their water ice they also offer some soft serve and the traditional ice cream truck packaged popsicles and ice cream cones, plus basic drinks and snacks like hot dogs, pretzels, etc.

In addition to their brick and mortar location, I've also experienced their truck at some local events. Always a good (and tasty)...

I went down to lunch at the square Rodney square Wilmington Delaware and I got a cherry mango water ice off of their truck and the service was wonderful and the water ice was delicious I cannot say that I've had a better water ice I mean these guys...... they might be a little bit better than Rita's water ice.... Next time you're on Union Street stop at the store or stop at their truck when you see it!!
