Nikki's Gourmet & Sushi Bar @ Independence Mall — Restaurant in Wilmington

Only rating 3 stars hoping I get a response. Nikki's is my favorite restaurant in Wilmington and has always been since I have moved here. It's my special treat on my days off or for special occasions. It's my birthday and I just had surgery so I definitely needed my go to order. Today I ordered my usual 2 specialty rolls, the super crunchy and the dinosaur. I am not sure what has changed but neither of the rolls tasted right. It almost tasted as if the ingredients were not fresh, or the rolls were pre made and stale. It honestly ruined my whole mood. I have never had this issue any other time my order is delicious and perfect no matter what location I order from and the staff is always friendly. If someone sees this who works there and would be willing to help me rectify this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for being a staple...

Terrible place every single time we give it another shot, never coming back. The sushi is not good and the service is really bad. We got two kinds of sushi rolls (I even left a tip) and WE WERE TOLD WE WILL BE CALLED when order is ready but that NEVER HAPPENED. The woman who took our order placed a brown bag after 10 minutes on the side of the counter which we thought were for online pickup orders. She looked right at me and my husband as she placed it there but didn’t say anything. We waited until we couldn’t anymore. When we approached the counter, my husband turned the brown bag to us to see if there is any label and yes it was our order. There was no way for us to know it was ours as as the label was not facing the counter. If you hate your job, quit! Don’t be rude...

I work at the mall and I was relying on Nikki's to be my dinner. I came into the food court at 6:10 and the mall closes at 7. They let me stand there for a few minutes while they chatted to each other and then when I looked ready to order they told me they were closed. Ummm the mall closes at 7 and that is the posted closing hours online as well. My store is on the exterior part of the mall and I don't get to go home until 9:30, I was relying on Nikkis to be my dinner. This is super disappointing.
