Tried to make reservations and was told they don't do that on weekends. When we showed party of 9, told wait would be about 20 minutes. Little over an hour later we were finally seated. The table was built for 8, so they just added an awkward chair at corner of table. The service was beyond slow. The dinner not including wait for seat was 2.5 hours. When food was coming out it came out all different times. 1st dish served was gone, prior to last 2 members of party getting there food. Asked for the bread that came with meals and was brought out what looked like old pizza off someones table. There was cheese and pepperoni on the bread. When we asked waitress what it was she said it's tomato, took the pieces and removed from table. We have pictures that its clearly not tomato. Had to go to bar ourselves to finally get to go boxes. When checks were finally made correctly, which we mentioned before ordering they were split. They added 20% gratutity, which I don't mind at all if you deserve it. With as bad as the service was it was barely worth 5%. They also charge more to use card with no warning until your done. Asked to speak with management and explained the issue with gratutity when the service was awful. I feel like this is why we were treated so poorly as they figured they would get there good tip regardless. Countless tables seated after us and left before us. Needless to say the management was just grouchy and shows where they learn there good customer service. To end the night because we didn't want 20 more minutes to pay, we proceeded to bar to pay. When we reached there 6-8 employees talking about us, the pain in the butt table. May want to wait for people to leave to complain about your customers.
In closing I will add the food was very good, I can't fault the kitchen for the lack of service at front of house. If you like good italian I would just get to go. I know I won't waste my time returning...

I am one who goes to local and family owned businesses for the more familiar and homey dining experience but this restaurant lacks in all aspects of good food, good service and dining atmosphere. LACKING at its finest! First of all, the server apparently forgot our appetizer so that our entrees came served before it. We were not even asked if we want water (trivial but it is a script that is so obvious when you go to a restaurant). Second of all, I ordered Flounder Franchese as my entree and the plate was so poorly presented. The moment I saw and got a sniff of the fish, it already smelled funny (fishy). I cut through and it was not flaky at all rather mushy. I took a small bite and I gagged right away. I can not swallow it. I told my server that something is not right with my food and she took it back to the kitchen. She came back with the claim that there nothing wrong with it and the "owner" found nothing wrong with it. Well the owner can eat it. While being there, neither the manager nor the owner approached us to address the issue but I did see a couple of servers and a tall girl looking at our table while they are conversing. So very unprofessional! If I make you uncomfortable because I complained about your food, I am a paying customer who has a knack for great food and mind you, amongst the many in the cape fear area, your restaurant ihas the worst food! I am so disappointed that you are even located in the landfall vicinity. I hope the owner ate the whole plate of Flounder Franchese to her heart's delight.

We had a party of 8 therefore a 20% gratuity was automatically included and you could tell the waitress, Maya, knew it!! No sense of urgency for our table. She had one other table of four, which she basically spoon fed them as we thirst to death. Was it because gratuity was included and she had to work for that tip? And Refills? Forget it! We sat with empty, no ice glasses for over an hour until we interrupted our waitress to please refill them. She never cleaned off the empty dishes until she was ready for us to leave. She said she would get in trouble if she didn't clean our table. I will say our food was tasty although could have used some more sauce plus we had to ask for bread. It took an hour and a half to receive our meals. The restuarant was not full. There was no explanation for this type of service. I mentioned our poor service to Maya. She seemed irritated that I called her out on her service. I work hard and if I plan to splurge for a nice dining experience, much less a special celebration for our friend, then I expect it. I did not dispute my tip because we were served and it was my friends birthday. I hope Maya considers my constructive criticism in the future. Not to mention... she was dressed all in black, although it was a tank top and cropped biker pants. Very unprofessional all the way through! Save yourself the time and money-go literally...
