Went with my husband late one Saturday morning, and it took forever to order (and by that I mean we probably spent 5+ mins contemplating our order, and he had time to use the restroom and come back before we placed it)...and there was only one other couple in front of us this whole time. When we finally did order, everything was ready quickly. The latte I ordered was very good and paired well with some of the donuts. At other donut shops, my go-to is usually a long john or Boston cream, so we tried both. The chocolate they use is very overwhelming and rich and was not my favorite. The texture of those donuts was good. The worst donut was the cinnamon one, which was basically a brick, as it was so dry and dense (even the coffee couldn't save it). The best donut was the blueberry, with an ideal texture and taste (and this is coming from someone who doesn't usually like blueberry donuts). I think it's definitely worth trying, but next time I go, I think I'll order ahead online to try and avoid a long wait.

Great vibes, delicious food, special locally-owned touch, and the pinnacle of donut perfection! If you're looking for the best donuts in Wilmington, the state of NC, or quite possibly the entire US, look no further. I stopped by The Donut Inn with friends for lunch and we were all blown away by this place. Wide variety of fresh-delicious donuts, made to order hand crafted sandwiches & wraps, and incredible coffee & specialty coffee options that will beat out your favorite coffee shop. The owners are local, take every opportunity to make you feel at home, and have big hearts for giving back to the community. Whether you live in Wilmington or are visiting on vacation, The Donut Inn is the donut, breakfast, coffee, and lunch spot you're looking for that will satisfy the whole family.

Absolutely blown away by The Dutchman! This sandwich is the real deal, perfectly grilled chicken, crispy bacon, and fresh, crunchy lettuce all packed into a soft hoagie roll that holds everything together like a pro. The flavors were clean, hearty, and seriously satisfying. The bacon added just the right amount of smoky saltiness, and the chicken was juicy and well-seasoned. You can tell they care about their ingredients. Bonus points for the generous portion, this thing is loaded! If you’re even remotely near The Doughnut Inn, don’t sleep on this sandwich. It’s a must-try and honestly one of the best chicken bacon sandwiches I’ve had in North Carolina.

May 17, 2020. I placed an order online. I paid online. I chose curbside pickup online. The Donut Inn site told me my order would take 50 minutes to be ready. I arrived at the Donut Inn. I quick realized there was not away to actually receive curbside services. I went inside Donut Inn and realized the orders that were curbside were actually come inside and pick up your order with no help from the Donut Inn staff. My order was not ready. I asked a Donut Inn worker to help me find my order. The man that helped me looked around and then talked to the manager. The manager apologized and said he would have to pull my order together now. I told him all of the donuts I ordered are now gone. The manger said by the time the order got to the I internet the inventory was empty. I told him I ordered 50 minutes ago. He apologized again. The manager stated he would give me a few extra Donuts to make up for it. The original worker who was standing there the whole time help me get the Donuts. Once we got to 12 Donuts the worker closed up the box and was like here you go. I stated what about the extra Donuts. At first I got a blank look. Then the worker asked the manager how many extra Donuts should we give him? The worker answered his own question by saying One. The manager said two. So then I added 2 more Donuts to the box of Donuts that I really didnt want anyway. The worker apologized for the situation but by then the whole situation specially after they made me beg for the free Donuts. I was really feeling resentful. I should have left the Donuts and had the Donut Inn keep me $16.and change so the can fix their website and train the employees how to fill the orders as...

Exceptional Service and Custom Creations at Donut Inn!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Donut Inn for my daughter's 7th birthday celebration, and I cannot express enough how impressed I am with their exceptional service and creativity.

Connor and Gina at Donut Inn truly went above and beyond to make my daughter's birthday memorable. We had the idea of a custom donut hole tree for the party, and not only did they embrace the concept with enthusiasm, but they executed it flawlessly.

The attention to detail was outstanding – from the vibrant and delicious assortment of donut holes to the beautifully crafted tree structure, every aspect exceeded our expectations. It was evident that Connor and Gina put a lot of thought and care into creating a unique and visually stunning centerpiece for the celebration.

Beyond the incredible custom creation, the overall experience with Donut Inn was delightful. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and their passion for delivering quality service shone through.

I highly recommend Donut Inn to anyone looking for not only delicious donuts but also a team that is willing to go the extra mile to make your special moments truly unforgettable. Thank you, Connor and Gina, for making my daughter's birthday celebration a sweet success! We'll definitely be returning for more of your delectable treats...

Wilmington has a really great selection of doughnut shops and The Donut Inn might just be my favorite. It's a very clean, warm and modern shop, with very friendly help every time I been. Whereas other places in town excel in their one particular type of doughnut, Britt's, or their wild, unique flavors, Wake and Bake, Donut Inn excels with a great execution of more traditional flavors. You'll find jelly doughnuts with powdered or granulated sugar, blueberry cake, Maple iced, Boston cream, old fashioned, glazed, apple cider, white iced, strawberry iced; way too many to name, but it gets the point across. The dough is soft and light, every doughnut I've had has tasted extremely fresh, and I have never gotten any taste of artificial flavorings in any that I've tried, just really fresh, homemade taste. One drawback: I've taken my Dad twice, and while he loves the doughnuts as well, he said the coffee was definitely nothing impressive. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I didn't reflect this in my 5 stars, but something to keep in mind for...
