Took a ride from Bucks County to Easton PA to Pints and Pies for pizza and wings. . Went with the Filthy wings which was just a spicier version of the Dirty Wings (most popular house creation). These were sweet, but much spicer then the Dirty ones, and garlicky for sure. The spice level was maybe a 6 out of 10, they weren’t crazy hot. . They came out steaming though! They were crispy, juicy, well coated in sauce….No complaints here! . We also got a cheeseburger pie and a regular pie. . Their pizza pies are all 12 inches big. The only knock we have on it is that the crust is so thick and large. It really only gives you like 6 to 8 inches worth of cheese sauce and toppings across the whole pizza. We wish they would work on pushing the sauce and the cheese closer to the edge of the dough so he didn’t have that much crust. . That being said, the dough was cooked. Perfect it was light and Airey, we just wish we didn’t have so much of it. . Old-school style pizza joints, where you can grab a pie and a beer or a few and far between, so we enjoy taking the hour ride and hanging out here for a bit. The staff is awesome, and the customers are super super...
Read moreIt's really 4.5 stars, missing the 5 only because table service is a little uneven. Some days the timing is great, some days you wait. The truly is a classic neighborhood pub, even when you've moved out of the neighborhood (still go at least one a month with the family ). Great cross section of people, and always has good energy. It is basically one room inside with bar, couple high-tops, and then section of tables. TVs all over and great place to catch game. Also has outside tables. Sometimes gets a little warm in there, but that is because of all the great people enjoying it too :-)
Food: The antipasta salad, wings, cheesesteaks are staples (miss the oil and vinegar in glass shaker bottle tho; wish that would come back). The large salad is very large and generous (feeds four quite honestly). Wings are crispy and great selection of sauces.
Drink: I am not really going for the bar part (probably need a younger reviewer for that haha), but never had a bad drink there, and the beers are pulled just fine. Seem very quick behind the bar.
This is an Easton area classic. If you are looking for good pub food, down to earth experience, you won't be...
Read moreWe had business in Wilson Boro and haven't dined here since it was BRUNO'S years ago! The front patio looked inviting with the connection to the big server window opening to interior bar was convenient. A little speaker in corner of counter streaming reggae music. Olivia was on duty and since it was 359 pm, she mentioned the HAPPY HOUR offered $1 off beer so we ordered a Yuengling ($3.50) and a Heffenweizen draft ($6). The 12" German pie ($14) was loaded with toppings, subbed out the onion for mushrooms and served hot and fresh. The pizza dough was too thick, doughy (frozen) for my liking; the thinner the better for me. The cheese steak was overstuffed with meat, cheese mixed through and roll was crusty with soft middle. Great sandwich. Shout out to the main man in the kitchen, RICHEY, who knocked it out of the park with the food prep. Side note: check the bill for HH discount. We were 2 minutes early and computer charged us full cost on beers. (One...
