San Jose Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Wilson

I don't leave unwarranted bad reviews. I was so disappointed with my trip here yesterday. We were seated, someone brought us chips and salsa, then we sat for 14 minutes exactly. We had just about eaten all of the salsa and were still waiting to order drinks. I heard one waitress call out to another then she finally came over. She came back to our table only to ask if we needed boxes and to bring the check.

We order. I ordered Burritos Acapulco, which is burritos with shrimp and crab inside as well as grilled onions and tomatoes. Topped with cheese sauce, served with rice. I get my food back and the problems were there were overcooked shrimp and crab (like hard rubbery crab the texture of dry chicken), tomatoes were replaced with celery which I am not able to eat.

3 people total asked me was anything wrong because I took 2 bites before I couldn't eat anymore, and I told them the issue there's something inside my burrito that's not on the menu and I can't eat it. There response was just "ohhhh, I'm sorry." And they walked away with no solution offered. Left me with 11 dollars worth of dissatisfaction. The top shelf margarita was good though.

I tip 20% no matter what. She happened to walk to the register and saw the receipt. After doing so she gave a big 'thank you sir' and said have a nice day. More than she did when she was serving at the table.

we used to come to this restaurant all the time a few years ago, so much so that we were well know. customers. Then covid hit and well you know the rest. We decided to go back and were disappointed in the service and the food but we blamed it on the recovery from covid times. Well we went there last night and the place was empty for a saturday night should have been a sign right there, the waitress was so rude she actually rolled her eyes when my friend asked for some sour cream. So the service was HORRIBLE. My friend and i ordered the san jose nachos when they arrived we were both asking what in the heck is that! they were awful looking a few round chips with some dried out carnitas and a smig of sour cream, no cheese no nothing and the first few bites were exactly that not enough sour cream in the world to make them taste better, rude waitress was no where to be found so my husband went to find anyone so i could get another drink, today my husband is so sick with food poisoning its scary. We’ve ate at San Jose many times before, and everything is usually great. My husband and I went there today for early dinner. Our waitress had an attitude from the very beginning. She came to take our drink order, had to come back because she forgot what we ordered; she was too busy talking to someone while we ordered our drinks. Once bringing those, she left for a while, then came back for our food orders. Another waiter brought our food to us, then she brought my husband a refill on his drink. My tea was pretty low, and as she is walking away she says, “I’ll get you some tea in a minute”. Over 15 minutes passed and the same gentlemen that brought our food, brought me a refill on my tea. We never seen her again until she brought the check. I asked multiple times to see a manager. Which I was told there wasn’t one on duty. My husband wasn’t satisfied with his food order, which someone would’ve known if they would’ve checked on us. We were given 50% off our bill at the register, because she said “that’s...
