Wayback Burgers — Restaurant in Wilson

I complain about everything. I'm a picky eater. I love cheeseburgers, great cheeseburgers. Our orders were mostly correct (they forgot lettuce and tomato on my burger and forgot my husband's ranch). They were quick to give us those items when we asked. The cashier was clearly exasperated with the cook for forgetting those items. The restaurant was about half full and we waited about 8 minutes for two excellent burgers and tots. The burgers are well seasoned, perfectly grilled and super juicy. You're gonna have to push your long sleeves up kinda juicy. The buns are soft and fresh. My husband's Carolina burger had tasty red slaw and some super meaty chili. Both burgers stayed together well, ingredients stayed on the burgers even though there were lots of them. The tater tots were perfectly crisp and salted and my husband's were nicely dusted with Cajun seasoning. And the hibiscus strawberry water is off the chain!! Overall, this was a positive experience with really good food....

My first experience at Wayback Burgers was enjoyable. My family and I dined here on a Friday evening. Upon entering I noticed that the place was clean and tables seemed wiped down. The lady that took our order was very friendly. She also checked on us throughout our meal to ask if everything was OK and I appreciated that. She also asked other patrons the same and did a great job being observant and present; her customer service was A1. Our order was brought to our table by one of the friendly cook's and our order was accurate. I like the taste of their cooked to order burgers and fries, my son and boyfriend does as well. It was not overly busy but it was steady and thankfully we didn't have to wait too long before our order of 3 combos were ready. We were given a coupon to use on our next visit which I fully intend on using because we will be back to visit this location. Looking for a burger joint other than the usual burger chains?......

Staying in Wilson for the weekend and needed a bite to eat. I decided on burgers out of all the amazing places to choose from. Low and behold, I chose the best of them all. Wayback Burgers has out done them selves to satisfy my palette. I ordered the bacon burger, it was to die for. The buns were toasty and warm. The lettuce and tomatoes and pickles were all vibrant and crisped and cool. The bacon was the perfect amount of season and crackle. The burgers were cooked as if they were made for the Gods. The cheese dripping down the smashed patties left delightful little cheese drops on the decorative plated paper cradles. My mouth was left watering after finishing the burger, longing for another bite, but alas my stomach was stuffed. 6 stars would be given if I could have selected that option. 10/10 would return.
