Very dirty! The handles on rides & arcade games were so filthy & sticky!! EWwW,SO BAD!... I dont mean Zfrom a childs sticky hands that day,it was old and built up on them.,Especially the lay back virtual coaster...it says to hold on which I'm sure many small children would need to.I got on it with my grandson it was gross...I got up and got us some napkins to put around them ,afterwards when I went to remove them to throw away it was SO bad that it tore it into many shreds trying to get them off...like a sticker on a window that's been exposed to 99° heat &sun for 3yrs!!.The head rests were all torn ,cracked, sharp, &dirty! Just think how many heads are on them daily! Its obvious they do not get cleaned regularly or properly, let alone disinfected. whole place needs cleaned! Also I myself were having problems with the games taking money/credits(off the preloaded cards)/ tokens and not giving them game time & taking double triple or more each time then it actually costs. These are little innocent kids chucky cheese!! They dont know or notice it...I would not have caught it myself if I went playing them with my grandchildren. Shame on you! Because I went to the manager and he kept saying it didnt..pritty much calling me a liar! I seen it with my own eyes Mr! & multiple others were complaining of it as well.Believe me I have bigger things on my mind than ripping off tokens for a few arcade games! Please!! I was very offended and it was brutally obvious that he could not have cared less ! And last but not least...So so so EXPENSIVE $168.00 for 3 small kids 1 adult to play dirty broken games for just over2 hrs.& a couple of plain basic pizza's! WISH I HAD WENT BOWLING INSTEAD OR THE JUMPING PLACE(sorry guys cant think of the name of it lol) its expensive too,but you get your money's worth and last time we went it was or at least appeared to be...
Read moreThe Chuck E. Cheese in Winchester, VA is okay...the amount of tickets children need to win a prize is completely insane. 500 tickets for 1 piece of candy you seriously could buy 3 lego sets and still spend less than what you did for your child to only win 1 piece of candy. To be fair the ticket guy did give my son an extra 100 ticket points because it was his birthday and also because I think he felt bad. My son only had like 45 tickets and literally could get nothing so that was nice of the gentleman to do that. Still those 45 tickets cost me enough to buy at 2 items from the 5000 ticket shelf easily. However, at the Winchester, VA location they do serve BEER & WINE. You are LIMITED to ONLY 2 beverages the ENTIRE TIME your there which I get to a point and understand child safety but at the same time it's a bit ridiculous especially when your not driving and you were invited to a birthday party there. Of course, ALL CHUCK E. CHEESES ARE WAY TO EXPENSIVE and for the amount parents pay to come here they should have more for the kids (bumper cars, laser tag, make a music video with Chuckie and friends, just naming a few additions I know all children would love) and please Chuck E. let us adults be adults and not limit us guaranteed you'll see an increase in business and that means more revenue.
Overall, the children have fun and it is a popular place for younger children to have their birthday party. For sure they all need updating and more things to do for the kids and definitely stop limiting the adults and pitcher would be a great thing to sell for all the adults forced to attend a bday party at...
Read moreStill pretty cool place. Lots of nostalgia for me, and the kids had fun. You can buy unlimited play instead of tokens now and tickets are saved virtually on the play card. One gimmicky thing that ticked me off- if your game ends too fast, the card will not let you start a new game for a minute. If you buy unlimited play for an hour, it's a super gimmicky way to limit your number of plays over a given time period. A few of the games were broken as well. Not a huge deal though. Selling unlimited play is misleading though. There's a limit, absolutely. For example. We won the 50 ticket prize on the ball drop game, and you physically can't start another game until the machine counts off all 50 tickets, and it counts very slowly. But if the ball lands on 10 tickets or less, you can immediately start a new game. You could then play 5 or 6 times in the time it takes for the machine to add up 50 tickets VIRTUALLY. And the cherry on top? The prizes are pretty lame- im talking the top shelf prizes. Lower tier prizes have always been cheesy little nothings, but if you were determined and saved up your tickets, there were some pretty cool prizes to set your sights on, like rc toys and game machines. Now, top prize is a stuffed doll. Not even a big one. Like a foot tall chuck e cheese stuffy. If you don't care about those things, then it's still pretty nostalgic. They serve beer on tap also. I had a shock top. 10 bucks for a 22 ounce draft. Ouch. Needless to say, I only had one, and...
