It was my birthday and I specifically chose Glory Days to get crab pretzels and crab dip. As we began ordering, we were told they sold out of crab 30 minutes ago. Since it was about 6 PM, seems to me they sold out pretty early and I was quite disappointed. Didn't the kitchen anticipate this shortage? Why didn't anyone put a sign on the front door indicating that dishes requiring crab are not available? Why not acquire more crab from Costco or Martin's grocery store across the street?
Anyway, the pictures show most of what we ordered. We ordered mucho nachos for an appetizer and they were ok (ordinary, nothing especially flavorful or great tasting); the nachos appetizer that Uno Pizzeria used to have was waaaaay better. Now on to dinner; husband sent back the chicken on his salad because it was so small and scrawny, and wasn't cut the way you normally see chicken cut into normal-looking, separated strips and properly placed across a salad. This chicken was literally still connected as one piece. My husband said just the salad was ok. The knockout shrimp appetizer was also ok; I give it a 3.5 out of 5. My sons said their shrimp tacos were ok. My plank salmon was ok, but I'd rather have had a piece from Outback Steakhouse. Salmon being my favorite fish, I've tried it at many restaurants and Glory Days fell short. In the picture you can see the nasty stuff that was on my salmon that I don't ever see on my salmon at other restaurants. At least the potatoes and broccoli were good. We decided to share funnel cake fries but only 1 of the 4 of us liked the chocolate sauce (tasted like chocolate pudding, not an actual chocolate sauce). I asked whether they had strawberry or raspberry sauce and the waiter brought one of those which definitely tasted better with the funnel cake fries. Can't say that anything we ate was really great; no recommendations coming from this visit. Enjoyed the time spent with my family but wish the food had been better and that they hadn't sold out of crab early. My overall rating is a 2.5 out of 5.
UPDATE: Glory Days extended a gesture of goodwill; sent me $50 in gift certificates to make up for the above-described experience. That does make me feel better, and I...
Read moreWe ordered curbside take out on a Tuesday evening, around 8pm after being at several appts and visiting my mother in the hospital. Food and service has always been great. The website advertises curbside so we ordered 2 meals to take back home which is an hour and a half away. We were famished after a long day. The order went through, the make, model and color of our vehicle along with our cell number, email address and of course, the payment. It said it would be ready by 8:32pm. We waited 45 minutes and still no food. I called inside and was put on hold for another 15 minutes. Finally a female got on the line as ask if she could help. I told her the issue and how long we've been waiting. She said, "Oh we don't do curbside anymore". I said, "well, Im parked where your curbside signs are". She said "ok, we will bring it out" and then hung up before I could say thanks. Waited another 5 minutes and a young male brought it out and took it to another vehicle!! The vehicle wasn't even the same kind as mine. The lady in that vehicle kept looking our way and I knew then, that she received the wrong food. She got out with the bag and walked our way, I got out, she said I think this might be yours. It had my name on it. At this point, I was furious! I called back inside and no one would answer the phone. I proceeded to call a second time, no answer. I just gave up and headed on our long drive home. We have never experienced this kind of bad service at this establishment. I don't know if we'll ever go back at this point. If you don't offer curbside service, it needs to be removed from your website! They could have emailed or texted that our food was ready and I would have walked inside if I needed to instead of letting it set all that time. Employees/management dropped the ball that night and it makes me look at them in a whole different light. It could have been handled...
Read moreMy husband and I are typically big fans of Glory Days! We come here frequently and have always had a great experience; yummy food and excellent service. We went today for a late lunch and were extremely disappointed with the food. We got the same appetizer we get every time we come, the pretzel with crab dip. The pretzel was cold and the crab dip was extremely oily and hardly had cheese like it usually does. We brushed it off and ordered our other favorite to share– boneless wings and fries. We ordered 2 different flavors of boneless wings and as soon as we got them, we could tell they didn’t look as good as usual. They weren’t coated in much sauce and the chicken looked a bit strange. As we started eating the wings, I spit a couple bites because they were chewy and wet rather than crispy. We cut into some of them and noticed that the chicken looked raw or just bad and neither of us could try to eat any more. After telling and showing our waitress, she was extremely apologetic and helpful. Her service was incredible and we tipped her over 20% of our original bill. We ended up getting the food removed from the bill, but we left still feeling hungry yet unappetized. My husband and I have now been sick all evening likely because of the food we ate, and I’m pregnant which doesn’t help my case. We will be hesitant to visit...
