I am writing this review to advocate on behalf of my too nice of a girlfriend. She recently got her nails done with Sandra, or at-least the staff name on the receipt said Sandra, and she was not happy with the set of nails nor the service provided by Sandra. My girlfriend had provided reference photos for Sandra, to base the nails on. And throughout the appointment, Sandra’s attitude was unprofessional and manipulative, hinting at “she’s so tired” multiple times and questioned my girlfriend on whether or not she said wanted certain things on the nails. She had to receive help from other nail technicians, and still did not meet the criteria for the nails. The nail’s themselves were not too bad, but the thumbs nails are completely different shape and length; like are we being fr??!!.
I understand that these environments are beyond stressful, but as a nail technician you are held to a certain standard to provide a comfortable setting and environment for your customers and accomplish the job asked. It would be totally understandable if Sandra had a positive attitude and wasn’t trying to manipulate her way out of doing more work. Nail Swag is notorious for its positive attitude and welcoming personality and overall positive experience, so you could understand my frustration when I heard my girlfriend was treated unfairly.
Thank you Nail Swag and shout out...
Read moreI went to this nail salon to get my acrylics removed, and it turned into a painful, horrible experience. The nail tech clearly didn’t know what she was doing. Even though my nails were soaking in acetone, she was rough and overfiled them to the point that she stripped off layers of my natural nails.
My nails were left red, and extremely sore. It’s been over a week, and they’re still painful. I have red streaks on some of them, and I’ve had to use antibacterial ointment daily just to try to prevent infection. It’s honestly scary how damaged they are.
If you don’t know what you’re doing, don’t do it—especially on someone’s real nails. This wasn’t just bad work, it was reckless and harmful. I’m planning to report this to the Board of Cosmetology because this level of negligence is unacceptable.
I’ve had my acrylic nails removed many times at different salons and this has never happened. This is the first time in my life I’ve experienced anything like this.
If you care about the health of your nails, stay far away from this place.
Ps: These pictures were taken over a week after the appointment—just imagine how bad my nails looked right after the appointment. I still waited and gave it a week, hoping my nails would heal, but unfortunately, nothing improved. So here I am sharing my experience to...
Read moreI originally called the nail salon, because I heard it was less expensive for fill-ins. I ask how much a pedicure with gel would be for a child and they told me $25 I/O. Also ask about my nails since I have had gel and I was gonna switch to acrylic with gel polish. They told me it would be $45 because I was switching to acrylic and they would half to takeoff my gel. When I got there, the technician was not aware what I had called the receptionist and told her what I wanted but they technician originally said she had not enough time as she had another appointment scheduled, but she did it anyway which I appreciated , when I got to the register my total bill was $105 and I ask what the bill was so much and they told me $45 for my granddaughters pedicure and $60 for my nails. I was not happy and the technician told me because she was a gel pedicure. That’s how much it was, but that’s not what I was told when I called and I was specific and told them that she was having a gel pedicure. The increase in mine was also quite high so therefore they lost a tip because I was misinformed. I will stay with my longtime nail salon. They also have no TV and they offer no source of drinks. I’ll be at water or soda and I’ve never heard of a salon that doesn’t accommodate a patron. That’s all I...
