Decided to try this spot after reading the reviews, and I’m highly disappointed. The chicken is the lightest hibachi chicken I have ever seen with barely any sauce to accompany it. The rice is basically WHITE RICE against with no sauce or seasoning to flavor, on top of them having the nerve to charge me almost 4 extra dollars for an extra side. Never in my 22 years of living have I seen corn incorporated into any hibachi, red flag # 1. The vegetables seemed to have been thrown in a pot of lukewarm water for a quick soak and left very hard, no seasoning on those either. The ok tasting miso soup and shrimp tempura would be the ONLY redeemable food items of the whole meal, but then I remembered I spent close to 40 Dollars of my hard earned money on the worse hibachi. Please do not eat here!! the comments are full of lies!! I should have known it was going to be something when I placed my order at 8:03 and it was ready at 8:08 I will be contacting whoever runs this place for a full refund.

I recently ordered takeout from this restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience. I tried the Out of Control Roll and the Fried Calamari with Sweet Chili Sauce, and both were absolutely delicious. The calamari was prepared with thick, tender rings that paired perfectly with the sweet chili sauce, giving a nice balance of flavor. As for the sushi, the Out of Control Roll was incredibly fresh with a delightful combination of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and creamy avocado topped with seared white tuna and crunchy toppings. Each bite was a burst of flavors, and the added Japanese mayo and eel sauce made it all the more enjoyable. To top it off, my order was ready even before the estimated time, which made the entire experience even better. Highly recommend this place for both the quality of the food and the efficient service!

Ordered takeout. All went well except they forgot to include one order (they charged for it, just didn't put it in the bag). On the receipt, it was the only item not crossed out, so whoever packed it knew it was missing, but didn't say anything. Fortunately, the hotel was near and they were open late, so I was able to get back there before they closed. As soon as I walked in, they knew exactly why, and the guy made it a point to tell the chef to make it. In other words, it was not something already made and just didn't get included in the bag, but something that, had I not returned for it, would not have been made. This place is 5 minutes from the airport, it was near closing time, so I'll let the readers draw their own conclusions about possible intentions, general practices, etc. As for the food, it was very good.

3 OUT OF 5 OF US GOT FOOD POISONING It was my twin Brother and I's 29th birthday. September 30th 2015. It was nice to see my familiy. Prty of 5. As soon as I walked in I NOTICED it smelled fishy. Sushi right? I have been to many Jap/sushi restaurants(never got sic paid same $$), but IZUMI smelled musky and fishy-er than other places smelt. long story short.

The 3 of us who ordered any of the tuna sushi varieties got sick that evening and the whole next day. the worst stomach cramps. fish tasting burps, vomiting and diarrhea my brother,father,myself.n SICK AS A DOG. oh but they served us birth day boys a single fried banana on a plate with 2x forks, yes we had to share our birthday "Cake" of a fried banana. with whip cream. lol i was so disappointed.

if you are in the area go to saki moura in simsbury .. they have fresh food. they remember your name followed by "san" example "michael san" they sing happy birthday and both twins get a cake. and not sic for 2 days, i missed work and felt like garbage.

I traveled to Connecticut often and figured I would try some sushi very it's disappointed I ordered from here because of the 5 star and we'll never order from here again. I ordered a special California king crab role, and it literally was the tiniest 6 pieces of sushi I've ever seen for. Especially for the price, Im used to paying a6$ for a roll like this not 14$. The dumpling soup I got FOR 6$ was half the size of what i'm used to getting and the dumplings were soggy like they had been sitting in the broth for half a day. The broth itself had no flavor and was basically just chicken broth. The vegetable fried rice I got was a decent portion? However, it was bland. They sent extra low sodium soy sauce, 2 packs that tasted like it was well aged. Very disappointed for a spending 45$. Will definitely not be a place. I will eat at again! I'm definitely confused about the 5...
