Castaneda's Market — Restaurant in Windsor

Came here on a recommendation from a co-worker. At noon, one would think that this would be a 'busy time'.

Total waste of a trip, and my lunch time. I wouldn't know if the food was any good. As I was ignored completely by the few employees that I did see. No indication of where you're supposed to place an order. Even if there was someone around to place the order with. Lots of indications that food WAS served there. As I stood near the preparation area for damn near 10 minutes. Tables for dining-in and such. Not a soul behind the counters.

Attempted to get the attention of one of the workers I did see...in which I was promptly ignored. Finally had enough and was able to completely walk out of the building not having spoken to anyone.

I'm 6'5", with a large frame. There is no possible way by any stretch of the imagination that someone...

This place is way over priced I will not go there again I much rather take a trip to santa Rosa the carnitas and chicharon are double the price $14.99 in santa Rosa Lola's or Rancho Mendoza is $7.99 tops and when on sale $5.99 way better taste too, meat in the meat department is over priced as well you will save about $2-2.50 per pond in what ever you go but elsewhere soda over priced and the Mexican bread has no price where its at then you get to the register and they wanna charge $2.50 for a pice of bread I don't care if they are on kzst saying they feed veterans on Saturday this store is over priced on everything and the service only the carniseros are nice never buy a Mexican gelatin there it's not good the flan is really good I think that's the only thing I like there, but will never go...

I've been here before and the food was good... Though today, I get off work and the lady in the kitchen didn't want to make me what I ordered as she had already put some of the stuff away. All I wanted was some chicken mole... I had my heart set on it... Had to settle for something that didn't quite catch my tummy's attention... the other ladies who were sitting around watching TV noticed I was a little perturbed, and tried to help but with very little effort or care... I asked if I could at least be given a small salsa cup of mole sauce for the inconvenience and they denied me. Said I had to pay for that!

To me that is poor customer service, and appreciation! I think I won't come here again... Had to give it one star because there is no negative...
