Experience with service staff was exceptional. This is an issue of food quality and construction. For the life of me I don't understand how and why a restaurant would put an overpowering orange hollandaise on more dominant flavors. (tomato? WATERMELON? Rose?) Really couldn't tell because it was dominant and overpowering a simple chimi made with chorizo in a SW type recipe. probably planned to be a dominant flavor). Did they do that because hollandaise doesn't hold well and they needed to cover a turning sauce?
I tried covering the entire mean with a very small portion of pico, couldn't get more I asked). Then I tried covering with Cholula. Neither the pico or the Cholula could overpower the hollandaise from Hell. Heck! Pico and Cholula present very strong flavors that should cover, but in this case, didn't come close.
FW.. discontinue the chimi or just use very simple red, green, or Christmas. Change your pico recipe to tomato, jalapeño, cilantro, onion. And lime. That's it.. that is the recipe for pico. Perhaps leave the chimi uncovered and use about 1/4 the amount of an amended sauce as a demi. Little dollop of sour cream and FRESH pico on top. Sprig cilantro and maybe an orange wedge on the garnish. You could even try a habanero-tomatillo coulee cream as demi.
With this one meal, and all it took was one, I don't think I will go back unless I remember that FW has fallen into the same league as Denny's. I'll just have to call my order a short bunt... and not grand slam.
FW, show me you can fix it. Elsewhere, I really do recommend to everyone they don't return for a few years.
The last indignity? At the very end of the meal there was a certain.... lower gastrointestinal.... discomfort. Was this because of expired sauce? Because there's a contaminated cook? Or because FW has fallen horrendously.
Readers, I think I have something to say here. I hope you do read this, or you too may find that certain "discomfort."

Read moreThere were some customers right next to where we were seated that were having a very loud argumentative "conversation." Thank goodness they left just before we ordered! After that, the atmosphere was wonderful! Every person that was working there was wonderful! Our server said he was very sorry about that group's volume, but all customers are welcome, and they had been warned about the volume just before we got there and left soon after. All was perfect afterwards. The staff did a great job with everthing, the manager went around to every customer after that group left to make sure every thing was great. We were offered a discount because of that groups behavior, but we told them no thank you, because we saw that they did all that they could. This place is wonderful and the food is always very good; prepared and presented. The atmoshere, despite the loud customers, was beautiful! We have been to this place many times before and it was always perfection. We'll return...
Read moreWaitress was rude and non-accommodating. She told me I had the option between only 2 flavors of muffin and they did not have the one I preferred. I picked one. She came back and said actually she only had 1 completely different flavor and I to have that. I can’t have that kind. I told her this and she said my meal would still be essentially full price as best she could do was take off $1 out of $12 for not providing me with half of the entire meal.. they also did not have siracha for the avocado toast. Moving on, she then brings out the meal minus the muffin that I said I did not want and did not bring my avocado toast. I said she bright me the wrong food. I did not touch the wrong meal. I ate my toast. She brings the bill with both meals charged. Awful and unprofessional customer service. She refused to remove the amount for HER mess up. I will...
