The food and service are pretty good. The food is a little on the pricier side, but the quality matches closely with that, although the portions are not that significant. You get handed a buzzer after you order, and once it buzzes, you pick up your food from the kitchen area at the west end of the restaurant. Five downsides:
1.) It is VERY loud inside. The music volume was so high that people, my family included, had to basically yell to communicate with each other. The volume of the music was also increased while we were there, perhaps because the music became kind of difficult to hear because it was already so loud from people needing to yell over the prior music volume to speak to each other. Its a vicious cycle.
2.) It's not exactly the cleanest place to eat in. It's not that bad, but there are straw wrappers absolutely everywhere, and it was pretty clear that the tables weren't cleaned super often. We had to clean a bit of food scraps, napkins, and straw wrappers off our bench seats, off the table itself, and under the table. Similar story for a lot of the other tables I saw, and I don't remember seeing any staff cleaning any tables in our area during the 20 minutes we were there, despite some staff talking at the front counter without any customers there.
3.) The area with condiments and soda fountains needs a bit more attention. On both machines, the Coke dispenser didn't have any syrup left and only had clear soda water coming out. Same situation with Diet Coke, but only on one machine. The cups, lids, and straws were all stocked, but the salt was completely gone. I didn't happen to notice anything else havingrun out, but some were pretty low. This area also had straw wrappers all over the counter and floor. Significantly more than any other fast food restaurant I've been to. Like, weirdly significant.
4.) The bathrooms are pretty small for how many people can be seated here. The two faucets in the men's bathrooms also took quite a lot of hand movement in different places to turn on. The bathroom itself did seem cleaner enough, though. No straw wrappers, so that was a win.
5.) Lastly, for someone unfamiliar with the area, I'd suggest using a navigation app or having it delivered through a food delivery app. The entire complex (streets and intersections on the entire plot that the gas stations, other restaurants, hotel, etc. sit on) is pretty bad. The streets in the parking areas for everything are kind of a maze to navigate. There are all kinds of dead-ends and weird street layouts you need to watch for in order to get to Fuzzy's. Getting into the complex is also a pain because of the medians on the actual public streets around the area. There are two or three lights/intersections that you need to turn onto when going south on N Fairgrounds Ave or east on E Crossroads Blvd. The way go get there from going south on N Fairgrounds Ave is using the left turn lane at the traffic light at Steeplechase E (going east) and Arena Circle (which goes west towards the Event Center), near the apartments. After the left turn, take the first right and continue south, go through a stop sign, and into the complex. To get there from going east on Crossroads Blvd, turn left at the light intersecting with N Fairgrounds Ave, go slightly north, then take the first right. The other entrance (from Crossroads Blvd) is at the light between the car wash and Taco Bell where, after turning, go to the road just after passing the hotel and turn left.
All in all, it's kind of annoying to get to, but the food is good. Just be prepared for bumps in the parking lot, possibly needing to clean off your own table, and spending ~$10+ per person for what will probably be a single meal with...
Read moreI have adored this restaurant for many years. I I'm typically a fan of the food, it is great counter service fast food. Unfortunately, this experience was an extreme version of the other times that I've been to this place. Well I typically visit the store's location and other cities, I am not unfamiliar with this location. I have actually acclaimed this location for its organizational structure over the other stores. Sadly, this was not the case this past time. Our drinks were watered down, with little flavor. While they did replace my guests drink, mine remained. I tried to keep a positive attitude thinking maybe that was just that one so I ordered another one and it was the same. I asked if the recipe had been changed, and was told that it would be changing soon but had not yet. Our order was forgotten, like never entered into the system. When we checked an hour later, that is when we confirmed nobody had a record of our order. I didn't ask for a receipt because I didn't think I would need one given that I had a buzzer. They ultimately found the order deep in the computer system. Then there were just a series of other mishaps that were contributing to the overall experience at the restaurant. Including but not limited to a tray of glasses being dropped and glass shattered all over. I know that everybody has an off day so maybe this one experience is just an off day for the whole restaurant. I know the locations typically have a bit of a wait when it comes to food and drinks, due to how busy they are. They try their best to remain organized and clean, but this experience really pushed everything...
Read moreTerrible experience here! Ordered 7 tacos w/ sour cream and 2 drinks which came up to $40 and some change. Our receipt showed we ordered at 11:10 am on Sunday. We waited nearly 30 mins for our order to get to our table. 4 customers who came after received their food before us. I kept staring at the food service area seeing a tray that had been sitting there for at least 15 mins. I asked my wife, "what are the chances that is our food?" Finally one of the staff members who was talking to another staff member at the food prep area points at our table and everyone looks confused. As suspected the staff member grabs the tray that had been sitting under the heat lamp for 15 mins and heads to our table. He apologizes for the wait and said their kitchen was backed up. Not true since several other customers got their food in a timely manner who ordered way after us. He also had two little containers of sour cream and said they added those to our order because the cooks could not remember if they had put sour cream on our tacos or not. I asked if that was all the sour cream we were getting, and he said they added two but was confident everything already had sour cream on it. Tacos were very soggy at this point, barely room temperature, and shocker - none had sour cream. Do yourself a favor and eat at one of the many other restaurants in the area. The obviously value your business more than this place. You will get better service, warm food, and...
