We read about Ormachea's Basque on-line. Practically drooling over their prime rib. So when we are staying over at Minnemucca, we went there and tried it out. Unfortunately we arrived on a Tuesday and they only serve prime ribs over the weekends. So I ordered the ribeye, and my wife ordered the stuffed chicken breast with fettucine. Both items were outstanding. The ribeye was super tender, well marinated, and grilled to perfection. It was smothered with sauteed onion, mushroom and roasted garlic bites. The roasted garlic absolutely took the dish over the top. I struggled mightily and finished the superb steak. Two thumbs up. The stuffed chicken breast was very moist, well seasoned, and really tender. Usually chicken dishes are quite boring. They have very unique spices that makes this dish exciting. Not an easy feat. I come from larger urban areas with fine dining restaurants etc… I don’t think they serve wagu, but wow is what I had to say when I was asked how my food tasted… The environment was very nicely lit and well decorated, the whole team operated like they were one. The bartender served a superb old fashioned and had a skilled poor from the draft. the kitchen team absolutely nailed everything perfectly, seasoning was just right and my Ribeye was picture perfect medium rare… the service team nailed it! The prices were on the high end but definitely match the quality of the food, the environment and the service. Every part of our experience here was amazing. The food was served in a timely manner and our server (Anthony) was the best server we have ever experienced. With our entrees we were served a salad in a way I’ve never thought I would see. It was served with an amazing bowl of beans. At first a hesitation but then a pure delight!! The prime rib was so tender and flavored to perfection.
