Z's Main Street Treats & Eats — Restaurant in Winnsboro

I dined at Z’s recently and I have a few hopefully constructive criticisms.

I ordered an appetizer at the same time as my meal it it took about 25 minutes for the mozzarella sticks to arrive. They were good! About 20 minutes later my food arrived. I ordered the Grilled salmon with wild rice. This dish should have come with broccolini but I was offered green beans as a substitute. The salmon was unfortunately over cooked and very dry. The wild rice was either undercooked or had been sitting out for quite some time because it was dry and crunchy…. But edible. The green beans were very crisp, seasoned perfectly and very good. The portion size of the Salmon dish was a bit small but this didn’t seem to be the case for some of the other dishes I saw served. I did have to ask twice for a second drink since the wait staff appeared to be fairly overwhelmed. But they were polite if not quite inexperienced. I did not order a dessert because of the time crunch already. I dined in the bar area and it appears that most of the attention was given to the main front restaurant area.

I want this restaurant to succeed but if I was not an understanding local, I feel like this experience might have left a bad impression. I realize the restaurant is new and has not been open for very long yet… so hopefully this review can help the owners address some issues but I...

Cute little place. Leaving 5 stars because I think it just may have been an off day. Couple behind us was seated at table waiting for their order to be taken when we were seated. We had to grab a waitress for refills and napkins on our own. My biggest question is why the food is left so long under the warmer. Our food was there for atleast 10 mins before being brought over. I had to ask for my toddlers mac n cheese (under the warmer) which they brought over but again rest of our food just sat there. Saw other orders just sit there as well. Had to grab a waitress again for ice cream order. Had to go up to register to pay (this may be the norm, not sure)..

Back to that same couple... we finished our food, our ice cream and paying ... and they hadn't gotten their food yet. They seemed pretty annoyed.

Again , cute place, good food. Service just needs some retraining. They were sweet...

This has been one of my personal favorites to come for a bite or to satisfy a sweet tooth. I have ordered each one of their salads and am blown away by them each time. The seasoning on the breading, the crispiness of the crispy chicken, and the flavors of freshness is amazing. I haven’t had a dish that I didn’t love and I honestly can’t sit here and pick a favorite for you because it’s all so good! I love their Red White and Blueberry salad with crispy chicken and their Cesar salad and I’ve had their burger which was delicious as well. Their fries are so yummy too. So grateful to have such a high quality casual restaurant to stop by and grab a yummy bite. Just writing this review is making me wanna stop on by and get another salad 😂 So grateful to have this...
